Chapter 21

Damian's POV

"Daxon...." Dad whispered. the happiness and joy in his voice was so good to hear. he is happy for the first time in years.

dad gets up and hugs Daxon. He slowly wraps his arms around Dad and hugs him back. "Oh my boy... I missed you so much." Dad says as he wiped his tear.

"I missed you too dad... I missed you more then you can imagine." Daxon says. they pull away and dad looks at me.

"It feels so good to see you both standing infront of me after years. I've waited so long for this moment when i get to see you both by each other." He says and a small smile is placed on my lips.

"I came back father, i came back for you and my little brother and I'm never leaving you alone I promise." He says as he holds father's hands and hugs him again.

We were sitting in the car and it was almost sunset when we left the hospital. Daxon and Father talked for hours. At least now i know that my father is at peace

"Pull over at a coffee shop please." Daxon said to the driver and i gave him a glare but stayed quite.

As the car halted he turned to me. "Come on let get a cup pf coffee, we could surely use some brother time." He said and got out of the car. The hell is wrong with this guy. i swear if he tries something I'm gonna roast him. Despite my anger i got of the car and walked in the coffee shop after him.

We sat at a table and a waiter came over to us. "What would you like to order sir?" He asked.

"I would like a mocha and a hot chocolate with marshmallows in it for my brother." He said and the waiter walked away. I see what he is trying to do. I scoffed at him and crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back in the seat.

"Do you really think this is gonna work Daxon?" I said and he looked at me and smiled slightly.

"No, I believe that its gonna work." he said. "You see Damian. this is what we used to do when we were young. I got the coffee and you loved hot chocolate with marshmallows floating on the top. The same rainy weather. I still remember how you were so excited for family nights. " He said.

"Me too, But i also remember my brother destroying all of this leaving me alone." I say and he sighs.

there was a long silence as the waiter came with our drinks putting them infront of us and leaving.

"I'm sorry." He said all of a sudden. what!? i raised my eyes and looked at him.

"I'm sorry that i left you and father alone. I'm sorry that you had to live a life like this and I'm sorry that you have changed so much because i was selfish and scared of losing you both. I didn't knew I already did by disappearing for so long." He said with a sadness in his eyes.

I stayed quite... totally speechless...

" You are my brother, You're a part of me. Damian, look at me." he said and i saw his eyes were filled with sadness and regret.

"All I'm asking for is another chance. You are gonna do this for your big brother, are you?" he said look dead in my eyes. My heart melted at the way he was looking at me.

I sighed and stood up "Lets go home .... Brother." I said and we both smiled.

Daxon's POV

We walked of the coffee shop and towards the car when my phone rang making me halt my steps as i look for my phone in my jacket. I pull it and see the unknown caller ID.

i answered the phone and brought it to my ear. "Hello..." No response. "Hello...??" Still no response. I ended the call and my eyes landed on a chit sticked to the corner of the cars wind screen. 'attenzione Blackwood' (beware blackwood).

That's when i realized Damian had approached the car and is about to get in. Oh shit .....!!!

"DAMIAN WATCH OUT." I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran to him. Just as he opened the the door in a split second I pushed him away and the car went flying across the sky with a blast.

We feel away due to the impact and landed on our backs. I shake my head and my vision went from blur to clear. I turned my head around to find Damina on the street. He groans as he tries to get up holding his left arm.

"Damian..." I say as i gather strength and run towards my brother only to find his am bleeding. "OH Shit... That's gonna be okay I'm calling for help. Just hold on." i say as I pull my phone and call 911.

After 20 minutes the doctor walked out of his office with Damian by his side whose arm had a huge band aid around it.

"He Okay?" I asked. "Yes he's, its just been due to the impact. he'll recover soon. I've given him pain killer shots. He'll be fine." The doctor said and walked away.

"How did you know the car was gonna explode?" Damian asked me. "There was a paper sticked on the wind screen saying 'attenzione Blackwood'  which means beware Blackwood in Italian." I answered and he narrowed his eyes.

"They are here !?" He asked and i sighed and nodded. "Are they after her?" He asked.

"Unfortunately, Yes. That is why they tried to target you." I said and we walked out.

Lisa's POV

After Damian left with his brother a blond woman came in saying that her name is Elena and she was here to see her boyfriend. I was confused.

She asked me that weather it was the Blackwood mansion and I told her that it was. She said that she was at the right place and would not leave without seeing her boyfriend. And since then she is sitting here right infront of me.

I don't know what's going on but i stayed quite after that. I swear, if she is Damian's girlfriend I'm gonna kill both of them.

Moments later the front door opened and Damian and Daxon walked in. My heart sank seeing the blood and the band aid on Damian's arm. I stood up from my seat and ran to him.

"What the hell happened to you? How did you get hurt!?" I asked him placing a hand over his wound.

"I'm fine Lisa, Its just a small wound." He said as he held my hand in his. "Small wound.... Look at the size of this band aid Damian." I said seeing that his upper left arm was covered in white band aid.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN ??? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU AND WHY THE HELL WHERE YOU NOT ANSWERING MY CALLS !?" The blond girl screams as she hits Daxon with her hand bag.

"Babe I'm sorry, I was really busy. I meet my father today." Daxon said as both me and Damian watched the couple. Oh... So she is Daxon's girlfriend.

"Oh, Okay if that is why you were not answering my calls then I'll forgive you. So how did it go?" She said.

"Great." Daxon said and smiled. "I see, But don't ever leave us alone like this, Do you understand Daxon." She said and Daxon hugged her. "I won't Babe." He said and is eyes meet us.

"Oh, Hi Lisa.... Elena, this is my baby brother Damian and this young lady here is Lisa his wife." Daxon introduced us.

"Yea, I've meet her but i though she didn't like me that was the reason why she was so quite all the time." She said. "Excuse my girlfriend, she is a bit straight forward." Daxon said.

"Oh no it fine, i though she was someone else. I didn't mean to be cold or rude." I said feeling embraced at my behavior. God, i really though she was Damian's girlfriend.

"Don't worry dear, I understand. You're kind of an over protective wife." She said and everyone laughed making me blush.

"I would never do that to you my Angel." Damian whispered in my ear as he rests his hand on my waist.

I looked at him and smiled. "Are you Hungry?" I asked and he nodded. "Great, then lets have dinner with your brother and his girlfriend." I smiled.

"Thank you." Daxon said and we walked to the dining room.
