Chapter 33

Lisa's POv

"If you don't leave... I'll file for divorce." Those words left his mouth and I stood there stunned. No, He cannot... "What?" I whispered.

His eyes showed hurt but this expressions said otherwise. He cannot be serious. "I'll do it. Don't test me Lisa, Please." He said struggling with what he was saying.

"You can't do this to me Damian." My voice came out shaking and broken. Tears filled my eyes. "I cant live without you."

"At least you'll be alive and safe." He said turning away. "Lisa, I cannot take this anymore. I cannot see people who I love getting hurt. It's really hard for me." He said.

"I failed to protect you once Lisa, I don't want it to happen again. I'll not be able to stand it, Please try to understand." He continued. "If you go with your brothers then you'll be safe. You'll be away from the danger that comes with me."

"I don't wanna leave you." I sobbed. "Lisa" He walked close to me and held my hands in his "I cant risk your life, You mean more then anything to me my angel. But this... This is my war. And I have to fight it... Alone." He explained.

"You're not gonna die fighting Damian, Are you?" I don't know what came in my mind that I asked that question. He smiled at me sadly.

"NO!" I snatched my hands away from his grip. "I will not let you do that, If we Die ... we die together." I screamed and stormed out of the room.

He is not doing this alone. I can't leave him like this. I opened the door to my room and dropped on the couch sobbing. Moments later the door opened and he walked in.

Sitting next to me he pulled me to his embrace. I inhaled his scent and he runs his hand down my back. "I'll never leave you." I sobbed.

He pulled away and looked directly into my eyes. Taking my face in his hands he wiped my tear away with his thumb.

"Lets make a deal." I looked in his eyes. "You do as I say and I'll do what you want me to, Okay?" He smiled.

"I don't wanna go." "Lisa. My angel, Please don't make it harder then it already is." He pleaded.

"I know the pain you're going through, Its not easy for me as well But you can't be here." He sighed. "You go with your brothers and I'll make a deal with you which I promise to keep with my life." His ocean blue eyes burring deep in mine.

"Then promise me, Promise me that you'll come back after all of this is over. Promise me you will came back to me. Promise that you'll look out for yourself." I said.

He looked into my eyes for a moment and nodded "I promise."

Someone knocked on the door. "Yes?" Damian asked. "The Romano's are here."

I followed Damian down the stairs as he carried my small suitcase. I saw My brothers and ran to them, hugging them.

"Hey, How are you?" Leonardo asked. "Broken." I gave him a sad smile. He hugged me again.

"You have to take care of her, Please keep her away from any type of danger." Damian said looking at my brothers.

"Yeah, we can do that better then you Blackwood." Lorenzo said as he grabbed my suit case from his hands.

"That I don't doubt." Damian said. His eyes looked at mine and I walked over to him. Taking his face in my hands I enjoyed the feeling of his slightly grown beard for the last time before God knows how long.
