                             TYLER'S POV
When we got back from the hospital that day my mom showed me to my room it was right next to Sophia's room which was kinda cool, my mom's house isn't as big or as luxurious as my Dad's but it was comfy, it had this homey feeling unlike my Dad's.
Later that night we went to a restaurant for dinner, mom insisted on inviting Mac but I was against it, since the whole incident with my Dad Mac hasn't come to see me, not even once, it's heartbreaking honestly cause he's like a brother to me, but until he makes an effort to see me I'm gonna stay like this.

"-oh my God" Sophia gasps and we both turn to look at her, she raises her head to look at us and her cheeks go red

"I'm so-rry, the pasta-" "-its delicious" she stammers looking down at her plate, my mom and I burst into laughter as her cheeks turn red in response

"Yeah, they make the best pasta in town actually, we could come here again if you want to" I say to her and she smiles. Suddenly my mom gets a phone call, she picks up the phone to answer and immediately her contenance change

"Excuse me for a bit" she says as she stands up and leave the table, Sophia looked just as confused as I was...
In three minutes she comes back and calls Sophia to a corner, I watch them as they speak, trying to understand what was going on, I notice Sophia's facial reaction changes into a sad one and I'm suddenly enraged. What could my mom possibly tell her that'll make her look that way??? They walk back to our table and I look at my mom, she doesn't make eye contact all she does is adjust her sit and place her phone on the table, I look at Sophia and she was quietly staring at her food.

"What was that about?" I ask, breaking the silence.

"That was Sophia's maid, she wants Sophia to come back home as soon as possible, she was asking if she could come pick her up tomorrow" hearing those words made my heart ache, I just got out of the hospital and my only reason for wanting to leave that dreadful place is about to leave me.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to" I turned to Sophia and she just kept looking at her food

"Why now?" Sophia says looking up at my mom

"I understand that my grandparents are too old and are not allowed to leave the house at the moment, but May's mom never came to visit me at the hospital, even once, so why does she want me home now??" She says looking almost tearful...

"Whatever you decide to do my darling, it's up to you, if you want to stay with me it's fine, if you don't want to it's also fine. Just make sure it's your decision to make and not somebody else's" My Mom says with a half smile...

"I'll go home tomorrow-" Sophia says and I feel every strength in my body disappear "-To say goodbye to my grandparents, let them know that I'm in good hands and pack my stuff" a broad smile appears on my face as she says that.

"Then it's settled then" my mom says and just like that, the conversation is over...

~•~
After dinner that night, we went back home and my mom decided to make us hot cocoa, she left Sophia and I in the living room, we were watching a movie on Netflix, all snuggled up in a warm blanky, few minutes into the movie Sophia was fast asleep and before I knew it I joined her...
