Song of the chapter: Fourth of July by Fall Out Boy

Ameli's PoV
Kain flinches slightly as the silver door to his cell bangs open violently as I storm in, feet stomping heavily against the metal floors."WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!" Furious words come out of my mouth. I've been played by my own stupidity and arrogance. I had assumed, when me and the wretch had fought, that he was the alpha of the Rogues, purely because it was in his blood. But no, apparently not. "IS WHAT HE IS SAYING TRUE?!"
Wincing slightly, the chained up prisoner nods and my curled fist lands on his already bruised and bloodied face. As the sound of flesh resonates though the metal-clad cells, many other pairs of footsteps hurry down the steps. Julian, Ann and Juliette's faces are visible in the gloom.
Juliette often helps with the questioning. She is very temperamental and sometimes the punchbag isn't quite enough, so we let her loose on the prisoners. Eyes widening as Kain catches sight of her, he glances between both of us, assessing our similarities. Juliette, in return, sneers at him.
"Finally cared to join us, traitor?"

3 hours ago (Ameli's PoV)Knock, knock.
Swiftly pulling myself up into a sitting position as I hear the knock on my door, the palm of my hand rising quickly to my forehead as I attempt to fight the grogginess that quickly overwhelms me.
"Can I come in?"
"Por supuesto, me amigo."
The person behind the door clears their throat awkwardly.
"Errr.... Okay then"
Squeakily, the doorknob turns and the oak door swings open to reveal a very tired looking Julian. Shifting uncomfortably in my seat, I send him a slightly edgy smile, which he returns. An awkward silence fills up between us and we both start to talk at the same time.
"Look--"
"Julian--"
We both stop and he gestures for me to go first. I take a calming breath.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have challenged you. It was rude and uncalled for." Smiling apologetically, I let the small inkling of guilt shine through and so does my fellow Alpha.
"Hey, me too, I shouldn't have provoked you." I stand up and we shake hands, then Julian continues. "I was told by the guards that there are a few rogues milling around the south border. Wanna go check it out?" Quickly agreeing, I nod and we make our way down to the small back entrance and dart outside. We're greeted by the classic Scottish cold drizzle, the droplets of water stinging sharply on our faces due to the wind.
After shifting, Julian and I race off across the moors, dodging gorse bushes and huge clumps of heather. I let the exhilaration of running in wolf form consume me as sudden happiness overwhelms me. If Luza could smile, she would be grinning like a maniac right now.
Almost an hour later, I see the signs that we are approaching the edge of our territory. Slowing to a trot, I finally catch sight of the border patrol, who are snarling at two matted black and brown wolves. Rogues.
Spitting out the clothes I hold in my jaw, I go behind a tree to slip on an oversized jumper (because it's damn cold up north) and try to stifle the anxiousness that is creeping up inside me. The slight resentment I felt boiling under my skin towards my friend was gone at the beginning of the run after I beat him in six races out of six on the way down here. The air has been cleared, but now, onto a new threat.
"Shift, Mutts." Julian confronts the pair of wild wolves as they shift into one stout, muscly man and a lithe woman. "What are you here for?" The hostility toward the Rogues does not pass unnoticed as a small wave of sympathy pulses through me, quickly replaced with Luza's anger. Who are they to trespass on my territory? Unless--
"We have a message from our leader." At the lanky woman's words, I blanch and a pang of uncertainty consumes me.
"What?"
