We took a car to the house. The car ride took what felt like forever. When we finally arrived there, everyone stepped out of the car, "home sweet home." I mumbled.

Being back in the house I grew up in brought memories of how Charles and I used to be back when mom and dad were still alive , and he wasn't constantly criticizing me.

"This is yours?" Sean asked Charles.

The question snaps me from my trance.

"No, it's ours," Charles replies to Sean.

"Let's take a tour. I'm really good at tours." Raven said happily.

"Why don't you take a tour with Hank and Alex, Charles can show Moira and Erik around, I'll show Sean around." I propose.

We all agree and branch off. At first, I showed Sean the kitchen. Then the large dining room. The long hallways came next, then his room where he would stay, which was in the same hallway as my room. I showed him the huge library next, along with the indoor pool, outdoor pool, patio, game room, winery, bar, and just about every crook and crevasse in the place.

"Here," I said, handing him a pile of clean clothes. "I can't imagine staying in the same clothes is terribly comfortable." I say.

He smiles and looks down at the clothes. "I'll put them in my room. What're we having for dinner tonight?" he asked me.

"We probably have to get some food from a store, or we could order something." I answer.

"We should order something." Sean suggests.

And I don't have it in me to say no to the boy who comforted me during the worst moments of my life.

I nodded and went up to my room. I grabbed a pair of grey sweat pants and a black hoodie and pulled them on. I went to the living room and called the local pizza place. Ordering enough food for everyone in the house.

It was pointless, though, because of the need for sleep.

"I'm really tired." I mutter to Sean, who was sitting next to me on the couch.

"Same. I just can't bring myself to fall asleep. It just feels wrong after what happened with Darwin and all," he responds.

I nod in agreement, "Can I lay my head on your shoulder?" I ask him.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because you're like a heater, I can feel your body heat from over here dipshit." I retort.

I think for a moment I was being too mean, but luckily, Sean chuckles and nods. I rest my head lightly on his shoulder. "Did you mean what you said at the department? Saying you wouldn't let anything happen to me?" I asked.

"I mean, yeah, you're my friend. Why wouldn't I protect you." He said.

"I didn't know we were friends already." I whispered.

"Well, we are, cause you're stuck with me." He joked, but we both knew he was serious.

"Hey guys," Raven says, walking in with Hank and Alex.

"Hey Raven." I say.

"You guys tired too?" Alex asked.

"No, I'm wide awake." Sean says sarcastically.

Alex chuckles and sits down in one of the chairs.

"I wish Darwin was here. He would've liked it here." Raven said.

I agree with her, but I wished she hadn't said anything, especially around Alex.

We all glanced at the boy. He talked to Darwin the most. It still hurt us all that he was killed, but of us all, it definitely hurt Alex Summers the most.
