(TW: Smut!!!)
I woke up at about noon, Sean wasn't next to me, which was unusual. I checked the window and saw Sean mowing the lawn outside.
I rose up out of bed, slipped on something more decent than my pajamas, brushed my teeth, and went downstairs to the kitchen. I grabbed a box of apple juice and went outside. "Sean!" I call the boy over.
His head perks up and looks around for a moment before he sees me. He turns off the mower and abandons it, walking over to me. "Morning sweetheart," he hums.
I smile at him. He had sweat dripping down his face, I peck his warm lips and hand him the juice box. "Mornin," I muse.
His hair was wet with sweat and strands of it stuck to his face. The July heat was relentless that day. "When you're done, we should go out. They're having a 4th of July carnival today," I say to him.
"Sounds fun," he hums, beginning to take sips from his drink.
Charles was working with Hank on paperwork, deciding to open a boarding school for mutant children came with a lot of paperwork. Hank was the only one who could possibly understand it. "Charles spoke to me earlier," Sean starts, he tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear, "about me teaching the kids."
I wrapped my arms around his waist. He was sweaty, but I didn't seem to mind it, "Mhm, what class?"
Sean links his arms around the back of my neck, "music, music theory, music appreciation, things like that."
"You'll be good at that," I compliment.
He smiles and leans down to kiss me gently. I return the kiss. "You could teach too," he mutters between gentle kisses.
"Like what?"
"Modern history, maybe English," he pecks my lips again, "you're good with words."
I was good with words, but never good with them around Sean. "I doubt he would want someone who hasn't even graduated high school teaching high schoolers English."
"Then linguistics, you're good at languages," he proposes.
By that time, we had stopped kissing, "I dunno Sean," I mumble.
"C'mon sugar, I've tried reading your books about linguistics, they make no sense to me. But I always see you reading 'em, you understand 'em well," he compliments.
"I'll talk to Charles about it," I agree.
Sean smiles at me, "I gotta finish the lawn, but I'll definitely take you to the carnival later today."
We both let go of each other, Sean gives me one last kiss and I take his empty juice box, he jogs back to the lawn mower and continues where he had left off.
I walk back inside the house. Charles and Hank sat at the dining room table, looking over papers. "Hey y/n," Hank greets me.
"Hey you two, whatcha doin?"
"Paperwork for the school," Charles answers.
I take a seat at the table, "Charles?"
"Mhm?" Charles looks to me.
"Could I teach linguistics?" I ask.
"That's a lovely idea," he agrees.
"I'm gonna be teaching science and math, Alex is doing physical education, Charles is doing English and history," Hank lists.
"How many students do we have?" I ask.
"So far, twenty-nine are registered," Charles smiles, "they range from the ages of nine to sixteen."
