We were sitting in the back of another black car, I was fixed between Erik and Raven. While Charles, Moira, and Mr. Smith were on the opposite side to us.
"So what do they call you?" I ask Erik.
"My name? Erik, are you forgetful?"
"No like your enemies? What do they call you?"
"My name?"
"No! Like a code name! I'd call you Iron man, or Magnet boy," I giggle.
"If you call me that again I'll kill you."
"In front of two CIA agents?" I ask.
"Yes."
"Well good luck Magnet boy. Because im a mutant too. And I'm not afraid to smack a bitch any day of the month. Especially not one called fucking Magnet boy."
Erik gritted his teeth as the car stopped and we all got out seeing a large building. "The department of Supernatural powers to be used for military defense " Mr. Smith says guiding us into the building.
He leads us into the building. We go into a lab "and this is Dr. Hank McCoy,
our youngest most talented researcher in the department." Mr. Smith says introducing a lanky looking gentleman who had on a lab coat and coke bottle glasses."How wonderful another mutant already here." Charles said stepping forward shaking Hanks hand.
Hank looked fucking terrified by being called a mutant. "What?" Mr. Smith asked.
The boy was dumbfounded. "Uh-um-i-" He glared at Charles.
"You don't know." Charles said to himself but pointed the statement to Mr.Smith. "I am so sorry." Charles said to Hank.
The lanky man just stood there like a toddler that had gotten in trouble."Hank?" Mr. Smith asked.
"You didn't ask so I didn't say anything." He said sheepishly.
"So your mutation is what? You're super smart?" Raven asked stepping forward.
"I'd say so, Hank graduated Harvard at 15." Charles added.
"I wish that was it." Hank said looking at us all.
"It's alright Hank, you're among friends, you can show off." Charles said with reassurance.
Hank contemplated for a moment before taking off his shoes and socks allowing us all to see his feet, which were shaped like hands.
Raven and I beamed at his mutation. It looked cool. "Here move back" Hank said.
We did and Hank did a back-flip his feet grabbing on the edge of a model jet that hung from the ceiling. "Holy shit." I said.
"You're incredible." Raven said walking close to his face. Eventually after talking again as a group we all sort of branched off. Raven, Hank, and I going and sitting inside a huge wind turbine used for jet testing.
"I always thought I was the only one in the world." Hank confesses.
"For some reason that always seems to happen." I smile.
"So what're your powers?" He asked Raven and me.
"Shape-shifting, but into people I've seen before." Raven said.
"Me too, but I'm also a telepath." I say.
"Wait are you Raven and Charles all related?" Hank asked.
"No only Charles and I. Raven is family of course, I don't see her as anyone other than my sister, but nothing biologically." I explain.
"Thats weird." Hank says.
"What is?" Raven asks taking a sip of water that we had brought.
"Nothing just Charles only has one power, so do I, so does Erik, and you Raven, but y/n you have two powers that are completely unrelated." He says thoughtfully.
"Meh, I try not to question it." I shrug.
"Y/n! Raven! Let's go! It's getting late, we should get going back to the hotel." Moira called after a while.
Sure enough it was night time and we were driven back to our hotel. I fell asleep rather quickly that night.
An alarm woke me up unpleasantly from my sleep. Today we had to wake up before the crack of dawn in order to do what needed to be done. I threw some clothes on and made it out the door with Raven. Moira and Charles were having a coffee in the lounge of the hotel, when they saw us they got up and we were now on the way to the CIA department.
Raven and Moira were asked to stay behind while Charles and I were asked to meet with Mr. Smith.
We had been talking for about 5 minutes before Erik opened the door. "Erik you decided to stay." Charles said happily.
"Yes, but we find the mutants no suits." Erik said to Charles.
We all looked at Mr. Smith. "I agree. No suits." Charles says.
"What if I say no." Mr. Smith asked.
"Then good luck running your facility without Charles or myself" I respond.
By noon, Raven, Hank, Charles, Erik, and myself were going to use the machine Hank had made to help Charles connect with other mutants out there. Hank rambling about how the machine finds other mutants.
The machine was intriguing, lots of wires connecting to a headset. Charles stood on a podium that lifted him enough to be able to put the headset on his head. "An adorable little labrat" Erik said.Hank helped put the headset on Charles, "you sure we cant shave your head?" Hank asked.
"Don't touch my hair" Charles said firmly.
Hank stooped back and began flipping switches, and pressing buttons, turning the machine on. We were all on edge as the machine powered on. Charles closed his eyes and gripped the hand rail that surrounded him opening his eyes suddenly. A typer began typing locations of mutants. "It's working!" Hank exclaimed happily.
We were all happy. When Charles had found enough mutants. He took off his headset and looked at the coordinates. Hank went over to a drawing board that was in the large dome machine. Finding the coordinates and making a list of people we had to try to recruit. Charles and Erik agreed at they would be the ones to do it. Leaving Raven, Hank, and myself at the department.
Once they left to find the first person on their list of recruitees, Hank, Raven, and I went to one of the lounge rooms where we'd meet the people they'd manage to recruit.
