Soccer Game

Landon Pov:

I took Hope's hand in mine and walked her to her class. I turned to her and asked if she wanted to talk about the feelings we had shared the day before. I'm curious as to what it is that irritates Hope. I walk to my class after she agrees.
Since I was the first Phoenix in the school, my classes were quite dull.

Alaric and Emma try their hardest to teach me about it. There's not much to it except that I'm immoral and can fly, which is quite impressive. Maybe one day I'll take Hope on a flight. I took out my phone and texted her, waiting for a response. I leave the conversation and text Raf, wondering about his day the day before.

Raf is my best friend and brother, though not by blood. Raf texted back right away, which made me question why Hope hadn't, given that they were in the same class. I let the thought of her being busy pass me by. I continue texting Raf, and he asks if I'll be at the forest party later. "I'll see if Hope is interested," I said, and he replied, "Cool, where is Hope by the way?" "She's not in class?" I said, my heart racing. I questioned? "Yea, just messing with you LMAOO I got you huh?" Raf answered. "Yea, you got me," I laughed. I started to put my phone away when I got a text from Raf that said, "Just because you have a girlfriend doesn't mean you can't hang with the boys."

He's right, I need a guys night. Hope replied "Can't." I then texted Raf and agreed on a boys night

Lizzie POV:

In this boring class, half asleep, I truly did not what to be here, I couldn't wait for the party tonight, I needed to get my mind off everything and on to someone if you know what I mean.  Jed was hosting this forest party so I knew it would  be interesting . I turn to my fellow witches and talk about the night. Soon enough the class ends,

I link arms with Josie and walk to to our next class. "Attending the party tonight dearest sister" i asked already knowing the answer. "You know I'm not a party person, plus I have to study and hopefully work on some music since the building will be mostly out" She replied. I tried to talk Josie into going for the next few classes, she still declined. We was in our last class and I gave up and started to respect her wishes.

All of our classes were done and it was 3pm now, the party started at 7pm after the soccer game tonight. I decided to go practice with team for a little. The game starts at 4 and ended around 5:30 so it gave us time to get ready for the party later.

*The game*

No one Pov:

The team huddled together after their warm-ups and discussed the game plan. The team was actually quite good. They were fair in their games and did not use any special skills.

Alaric was initially opposed to it, as he did not want to bring too much attention to the school. Still nervous about the concept, he sends Hope to watch the game because he can't attend all of them.

Hope didn't mind because her boyfriend and classmates were on the squad, and it gave her the feeling of being a regular teenager, something she craves. She didn't paint her face and have posters like normal girls at their boyfriends game but she did cheer the team on. Hope watch the game along side and girl name Maya, Hope and Maya talked and became acquaintances.

Hope Pov:

  As I was watching the game and considering whether or not to go the forest party, I laughed to myself since I already knew the answer. I know Landon is going, which means I'll have some time to paint or read Jos- Josie I thought I still needed to talk to her, and I'm hoping to do so after her game.

As soon as the thought ended I saw her score a goal, I started shouting and turned around to see Maya doing the same. Confused why is she cheering for Josie? isn't her brother on the opposite team I asked myself. Do you know Josie?" I asked as she blushed. "Not really, I mean, we talked a few times but not personally, she's incredibly gorgeous though" she replied. Her brother plays for the opposite team, but she's sitting over here since she "don't like stuck females at her school." Mm, I thought, why does it bother me that she's cheering for Josie? I mean, as long as she's not cheering that hard for my boyfriend right?

No one's POV:

Wrong Hope tried to convince herself and focus back on the game. Irritated by Maya's description of Josie as "beautiful," she turns to Maya once again "How did you and Josie meet?" Hope asks Maya "Well, one day, my brother and her were playing a game, and she kicked the ball a little too hard, busting my brother's nose," Maya explained, laughing. "Not that it's funny, but I rushed over to him, and she apologized, and who could honestly stay mad at a face like that?" Maya added.

Hope still Curious asked another question "So you have a thing for her?" Hope smirked. Maya shrugged off the question, "I-I wouldn't" she nervously giggled, "I wouldn't necessarily call it a crush" she turned to me, hoping I  believe her, obviously to the fact that I didn't. She pleaded, "Please don't tell her."

Hope forced a smile and nodded, "Sure thing." Hope and Maya returned to the game without saying anything. The game finished in a tie, indicating that there would be another game between the two teams. Hope put on a phony smile and waved goodbye to Maya, who waved back. Hope's smile vanished as soon as she turned her head.

Landon rushes up to Hope and gives her a big hug. Hope congratulates her boyfriend on the game with a smile. Josie walks past as Hope tries to grab Josie's arm but accidently brushes her hand. Butterflies flew throughout Hope whole body. Hope gulps never experiencing anything like that before. Shook and couldn't even speak just stood there like a fool in front of Josie and her boyfriend, trembling and unable to speak. Landon snapped his fingers in front of his girlfriend's face and said, "Earth to Hope." Coming back to reality, Hope nervously joked, "Sorry um did you want to ta-" but was interrupted by Maya tackling Josie as Josie laughed.

Hope's face was flushed with rage; why was she so enraged by Maya?  Hope thought. Hope turns back as she walks away with Landon and sees the two laughing. Why was she so involved? In front of her was a great boyfriend. Feeling guilty Hope brushed it aside.
