A girl was seen pinning down another in the vicinity of an empty art room behind the church, peering her eyes deeply, finger gliding over the latter's jaw. "So, what did your father say about sins?" she asks lowly, seeing a slight grin coming from the girl beneath her.
"Everyone sins."
A few months ago...
The school bell rang and it was time for another day of sermons. Students were seen strolling down the carpets of the small church situated beside the school building, carefully taking their seats on the pew.
A group of students walked past the last row, eyeing one individual who had the body language of not wanting to be here. This is a religious school, everyone's thrilled to hear what the priest has to say.
Mumbles of loathing sailed through the air with a recurring name Ahn Yujin as the group of girls walked towards the very front, sitting at the row closest to the alter.
"Minju-ah, what's your dad talking about today?" one girl asks the girl seated near the aisle. "I love his sermons." Another, Jang Wonyoung, squeals silently, ready to be devoured by words of God.
"Not sure," she replies, seeing the priest make his way onto the altar. "Appa." Minju softly spoke, waving slightly and saw the man's eyes smiling at her, preparing his stuff on the counter.
While he was speaking, the girl nudged Minju's shoulder. "Did you see her today?" she gestured behind, earning a nod from Minju. "Let's not talk about her." she shook her off and listened attentively to the sermon.
The man changes his slide. He reads, "But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive. So students, what does this verse of Matthews imply?" he asks, seeing a hand up at the front row.
"We should give people second chances." Wonyoung enthusiastically answered, seeing others nod in agreement. "Yes, very well. If you want to earn forgiveness, you'll have to be the one who forgives first. Everyone deserves a second chance if they're willing to change." He answered, raising a finger with everyone intently listening to him.
Minju on the other hand, glances behind at a particular individual, someone the school detests because of her behaviour in this catholic school. She's known as the girl who goes against everything, not believing the words of God. She thinks she's been misplaced, being an atheist who only believes in herself and no one else.
Minju hates how she always thinks so highly of herself. As much as people detest that being, they have to admit she's one of the pretty ones in this school. Her aura even overruns those of the guys. Not mentioning her exquisite height, towering majority of the girls enrolled in this place.
Present...
Minju was attending history class, listening to the boring old lecture about world war two. She felt a hand slipping under her skirt and glanced at Yujin who's acting normal, jotting down what seems to be doodles on her paper.
Minju let out a small sigh, taking the latter's hand away which made her pout. This is the only class they have together that her other friends don't take, making it easy for them to hide their relationship.
Yujin wrote something down and showed it to Minju. Your father would be mad if you don't listen, it wrote. She saw Yujin gesturing at the front with her hand going under the latter's skirt again but this time, she's not letting go.
