After a long and arduous day of never-ending classes, Yujin unlocks his room door and drags his feet into his dorm. He tows his bag aside, nose instantly detecting something tasty which made him confused.
He lives alone.
"Oh? Minju noona," he called out while the girl looked over her shoulder with a hand stirring the pot, seemingly making some soup in the tiny kitchen. She rarely comes here.
"Noona? I told you to stop calling me that." Minju muttered and heard a slight chuckle.
"Why are you here?" Yujin asks, making his way to her. "I closed the café early to see you." She spoke, turning the fire down, placing the cover over the pot.
Yujin puts his arms around her shoulders, hugging her which made the older girl smile. "I missed you." he buries into the crook of her neck, inhaling her clean, comforting scent while Minju turned around and stepped into his embrace.
"How're classes?" she asked, looking up with Yujin's hands holding onto her neck.
"Aye...why are you asking these things? I'm not fourteen anymore you know?" he chuckles, feeling the older girl's hands draping over his waist.
"Still, you're like a kid to me." Minju teased, releasing her grasp, and turning back to check on the soup, turning off the stove.
"Kid...you're only 3 years older than me. Now I'm a head taller than you." Yujin puckered his lips, going to the sink to wash his hands.
"You told me you'll keep growing to protect me. It's a good thing." Minju nagged, glancing at Yujin.
"What did you cook?" Minju carefully drained the soup into the small bowl. "Something you like," She said, nudging Yujin out of the way while she places the pot into the sink.
"Oh? Samgyetang?" he queried, seeing her nod. Yujin smiled brilliantly and sat down at the little table.
Minju carefully sets the bowl in front of him. "Want anything else?" she asks, sitting down opposite him while Yujin shook his head, picking up the spoon. Pampering him is probably the only thing she does.
"This is enough." He smiles, tasting the soup and reacting positively. "Good?" She asked, crossing her arms on the table, receiving a nod.
"Why did you grow up so fast?" Minju mumbled and watched him eat as his eyes looked up at her. "To be with you," Yujin answered, casually eating the tender chicken in the soup.
"How long has it been...5 years?" she leans back, thinking about the day she met Yujin when he was just merely fourteen.
"You had no friends," Yujin said, seeing Minju frown. "You had no friends. I basically picked you up from the streets." she retorted, chuckling, and earning a slight kick to her shin.
"You're not wrong. I was tiny." Yujin accepted that fact, shoving the spoon into his mouth. "A tiny tsundere," Minju muttered.
"What's that?" Yujin asked. "You used to be all cold and tough when I met you, but turns out, you're just a big, giant baby." She explained, chuckling softly to see his stern eyes glaring at her. Goosebumps.
"But is that guy still bothering you?" He suddenly remembered. "What guy?"
"That guy. The one that goes to your cafe, like, every day." Yujin frowned slightly upon the memory of a guy hitting on Minju at her own cafe.
