Clicking away on her laptop, Mina glanced at her younger roommate who was busy with her own assignments. Despite it being the dusk hours, university students never seem to get rest. Not when final submissions were due throughout the next few weeks.

"Yujin?"

The said girl hummed, turning slightly to look over her shoulder. Mina tapped her thumb against the keyboard's spacebar as she contemplated the plan in her head. "Do you wanna help me with something?"

Yujin's eyebrows lifted minimally. She knew the girl was in her final year and her portfolio was up for submission soon. "Anything." She presses her lips into a tiny smile.

"Are you free tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow?"

"Wanna come down with me for a photoshoot?" The Japanese girl knew Yujin had always been interested in fieldwork because it gave her hands-on experience. Since she's in the first year, she hasn't done much of it. They're both in Arts and Mina takes photography as a minor degree.

The younger girl's lips winded into an excited smile. "You know I'd love to come."

"I thought you were done with all your photos." Yujin follows the Japanese girl across the street under the scorching sun.

Mina shook her head, adjusting the strap of her bag. "I have a few more I want to add to the portfolio."

"You have time for that?"

"If it gives me extra credit, I don't really have a choice." She pushes open the glass door to a small building that holds different studio spaces.

Yujin wandered her eyes around as they walked past the hallway that hung different art pieces across its grey walls. She had never been here but knew Mina came here a lot for her photoshoots since she brought it up whenever the topic of photography came between them.

"How did that night go?" Mina pressed the button of the lift, turning to the younger girl who had her eyebrows lifted in question.

"What night?"

"You can't fool me," Mina said. "You'd expect me to believe you didn't do anything after staying out a few nights? Who's the girl?"

Yujin inhaled deeply. "There's no—" She saw the squint Mina gave and sighed defeatedly. "She left."

"She left? I thought things were going well."

"She was gone the moment I woke up. I don't wanna talk about it." She motioned for Mina to enter the lift doors but all the older girl was keen on doing was listen to her little story about getting dumped immediately.

When the doors closed, Yujin couldn't avoid the gaze of hers. Something about this senior made her feel like she has to answer every little damn thing from that gaze alone. But she was on the losing end because Mina could make anyone do anything with her presence. She was probably the only person that made Yujin feel small.

"There were no texts, no calls, nothing." She sounded pathetic but Mina wanted to know the details. "Maybe I did something wrong, I don't know. Or maybe I'm just bad at it. It's complicated."

"You're not bad at it."

"And how do you know that?"

"You know it wasn't just one night. If it's bad, she wouldn't even bother. Do you want me to try so I can give you some feedback?"

Yujin leaned away when the girl came nearer. "I don't think Chaeyoung would like that." She gently pushed Mina's shoulder with a finger and slipped out of the lift.
