Another Year

Chapter 2

Melanie's Pov
" Alright,Daniel I'm leaving!" I yelled.
" You don't have school in another 30 minutes." He asked curiously. "Yeah, but I'm going to pick up Alexia." I told him. "Oh well. Tell her I said hi." He said with a smirk on his face. " Bye Daniel." "Bye Melanie."

After he said that, I closed the door and went into my white and black Audi. Alexia is about 5 to 8 minutes away from me. Which is good. Once I got there. I honked the horn. She came outside faster than I thought and came into the car. "Hey boo." She said with a huge smile on her face. "Hi and why you so happy for?" I asked. "What? I can't be happy?" "I'm just asking." I said as I was pulling out of her driveway. " Who are you excited to see when we get to school?" I asked while glancing at her.
"No one really. But, I'm excited to see all of our other friends." She said as she looked at her phone. "True." "How's Daniel?" She asked randomly. "He's good, why?" "I'm just asking." "Yea okay." "How's your mom and Laila?" I asked. " They're good. Laila being bad as always." That's Laila for you.
We finally made it to school and went to the school office. "Hi Ms. Anderson." "Hi girls! How was your summer vacation?" She asked with a warming smile. "It was good." Me and Alexia said in usion. "Well, have a good day back girls." She said as she handed us our schedules."I have history first. What do you have?" I asked Alexia as she was looking at her schedule. "History too. Let's go."
While we were walking down the hall, we saw some of our friends. Jasmine, Ashley, and Nina. Me and Alexia walked over to them and hugged them tightly. "It's like I haven't seen you guys in so long. Even though we seen each other last weekend." Jasmine said with a smile on her face. "Yea but what class do you guys have right now?" "We all have history." Nina said. "Me and Alexia do too."
We all were laughing and talking while we were going to class. Until I saw this boy smiling at me. "Ooh! Somebody has a crush on Melanie!" Ashley said as she was making kissey faces at me. "Yea you think." I said as I started to think about it.
We got to class and took our seats. The same boy that was smiling at me sat in the desk right next to me. "Hi I'm Jordan. You are?" He asked politely. "Melanie." "Nice to meet you Melanie." "You too." The teacher walked in after I said that and class began.

After Class
It's lunchtime and I'm starving. Let's just hope they made good choices of food today. "Omg! Melanie look at what they have." she said excitedly. "Ooh they have chicken salad with garlic bread and red velvet cake for dessert." I got the chicken salad and red velvet cake and sat down to eat. Whole I was eating I saw this girl that looked new here. When she walked into the cafeteria, some other girl tried to talk to her but she ran out. " That was weird." I mumbled to myself. "What was that?" Nina asked me. "Nothing." I said. I wonder what's wrong.
4th period
FINALLY school is done for the day. I bring Alexia back home and drive back to my house. I open the door and see Daniel on the couch playing 2k15 . " Well hello daniel." I said as I put my keys down on the counter. "What's up Melanie." he said as he kept his eyes on the screen. "Nothing just came back from school." "Good." I walked upstairs and started taking my clothes off. I put on my pajamas and charged my phone. I snuggled up in my bed and fell fast asleep.
11:00pm
*knock knock*
"Who is it?" I asked as I was trying to open my eyes. "It's Daniel." "What do you want Danny?" " Just let me in." He said. "The door is open already." I said as I turned on the light. "What is it?" "I wanted talk to you about Alexia." He said trying to hide his smile. "Ok what do you want to know?" I asked confused on why he wanted to talk about her.
"I like her Mel and I wanted to ask you if I can ask her out on a date." Woah! This just hit me. "I mean I guess she likes you. But if you hurt her Daniel I swear I -gco. "I will not hurt her Mel. and if I do, which I won't. You can hit me and scream at me. But that's all." He said. "Ok deal. But expect something coming to you if you do something stupid." I said seriously. "Ok Melanie I understand." "But I will talk to you tomorrow Daniel I'm sleepy." I said yawning. "Ok night." He said as he was closing the door. "Night."
