Walking into the resident locker room, Solace keeps her head down, going straight to her locker and changing into her scrubs, ignoring the conversations around her.

She feels the heated gaze of Cristina, felt it the moment she entered the room, but she doesn't pay her any mind, not until the dark haired women sits next to her on the bench while Solace ties her shoes.

"I'm fine." Solace sighs, not letting the other woman speak first.

"Didn't say you weren't."

Solace looks over at her friend, "Really, I'm fine."

"Have you talked to Mer, today?" Cristina raises a brow at her.

Solace shakes her head, standing up to fold the clothes she came in neatly, laying them on the shelf, "No. Because I'm fine."

Cristina is interrupted from saying anything else by Izzie's voice, "I said take it out."

Solace looks over, seeing one of the Mercy Wester's putting her stuff in George's old locker. "Great. I got the crazy one next to me." The small mousy girl tells her friend.

"Oh, you want to fight? Cause I will." Izzie stands up, getting in the girls face. Alex comes over, grabbing her and taking her out of the room, while the Mercy Wester's laugh at her. Cristina soon follows them, glaring at the new comers as she passes.

Well, isn't this turning into such a fun day.

Solace moves to walk out for rounds, when one of the Mercy Wester's make another joke about Izzie. She turn around, already tired for the day that just started. She walks up to the 4 standing around George's old cubby. "She's not crazy."

"Right." The mousy one scoffs, making the others laugh.

Solace roll her eyes, sighing, "We lost one of our own." She tells them.

The mousy one's friend is the next to speak, "What do you mean?"

"We lost one of our own a few months ago. He died. That was his locker." She shakes her head as they stare at her, not knowing what to stay back. "That's why we kept it empty. She's not crazy, she's grieving."

"Well then why didn't she just say that?" The tall, sort of beefy guy says.

"She could have went about it a different way." Solace agreed, before shrugging and looking to the mousy girl, "But you also could have not acted like a bitch." With that she turned around fully, leaving the newcomers to watch her as she leaves the room.

Such. A. Fun. Day.

Solace makes her way to the ER, meeting up with the group of residents there, Cristina going up to Hunt, "Where do you want us?"

"Uh," The trauma surgeon looks around the busy ER, "At this point, anywhere is good."

Solace goes to move, but stops when one of the Mercy Wester's speaks up. He was one of the four she told off this morning, tall, tan skinned. "At Mercy West, we do zones. When it's super busy, we just give everyone a zone, a space. The nurses put a person in that space, you know it's your patient. Helps get to 'em quicker. "
