Pokémon Trainers x Reader

Red x Reader

Region: Kanto (Red, Blue, Yellow, FireRed, LeafGreen, Let's Go! Pikachu, Let's Go! Eevee)

~ It's Too Cold ~

You shivered as you and your Eevee trekked up the steep mountain, the blizzard winds slicing past your heavy coat.
"Looks like we're getting close to the top, Eevee! I bet Red's up there!"
"Eev!"
You'd been looking for your childhood friend for a while now after hearing the silent boy had gone off to Mt. Silver to train. Knowing the harsh terrain, you bundled up with your trusty Pokémon, taking extra supplies and heading out to find him.
You both made a promise after all.
As you stepped out onto the summit of Mt. Silver, recognizing the red jacket and cap instantly. How Red handled this cold was beyond you, probably due to that Charizard he has.
"Red!" You called out, grinning as he turned. He looked slightly surprised you were here, but the cold was no longer a problem when he gave a soft smile your way.
It had been a full year since you last saw him, where you had lost to him just before the Elite Four. You both promised to battle again once you both had been them, and now here you are.
With a single nod shared between you both, the first Pokémon of your parties was sent out. The battle was intense, the air around you both heating up as the battle went on. You'd knock out one of Red's Pokémon, and in no time at all he'd return the favor. Soon enough, it was just down to your Eevee and his Pikachu.
"Eevee, use Quick Attack!" You commanded, watching as Red waved a hand a moment later.
Eevee and Pikachu both used Quick Attack, the attacks bouncing off of each other.
Another silent command, and Pikachu jumped up for an Electro Ball.
"Block it with Shadow Ball!"
The attacks collided once more, bursting in a shower of violet and yellow sparks. Pikachu's cheeks sparked, and let off a Thunderbolt just as you spoke the command for Dig.
The electric attack hit the snowy dirt with no impact, and Eevee erupted from under Pikachu, doing a good chunk of damage. But faster than you could predict, a set of silent commands were spoken, and Pikachu retaliated with Quick Attack, hitting your Eevee before landing a powerful Iron Tail.
You yelped as Eevee got knocked back, snow flying everywhere before it settled to reveal Eevee had fainted.
You sighed softly, recalling your starter before turning to Red with a soft smile.
"Well darn! Guess you're still one step ahead of me, huh?"
Red nodded, that soft smile had returned, recalling his Pikachu as he stepped towards you. Before you could figure out what he was doing, he'd stopped in front of you and pressed a soft kiss your cheek.
"Good battle. Now c'mon, it's too cold up here."
Your felt your face grow flushed and you blinked a few times as you processed what just happened.
"D... Did you just...?"
Red was quiet again, only giving you a wink before taking your hand and interlacing your fingers, beginning to walk with you back down the mountain.
