I laid wide awake in Blake's bed, him cuddled up to my side sleeping peacefully, whilst I on the other hand had been rethinking my past days — regretting so much.

I squint my eyes shut and let out a huge sigh. I look to my left, seeing Blake's mouth halfway open as little snores and lots of drool comes out of it. Not being able to contain myself, I brush his hair back gently with my hands, turning on my side and whispering to him.

"Blakey. Wake up, please." I watched his face scrunch up and he rubs his eyes. His big eyes look up at me, his eyebrows farrowing cutely together as he tries to figure out why I'm waking him up.

"It's still dark."

"I know, Bubba. I just . . . You love me, right?"

"Yes, mama. I love you very much, you're the best." I give him a teary smile, even though I knew he probably couldn't make it out since his room was pitch dark.

"You're the best. And," I drag out my D's. "You're so cuddling and warm, and so handsome with your chin bing cheeks." His cheeks push together as I give it a squeeze. His mouth turning into fish lips, but he quickly smacks my hand away.

"Stop."

"I love you, Bubba." I wrap both my arms around him and pull his body close to mines, reminding me of the days we spent alone together in the hospital when he was first born.

"I love you too."

We were at Annie's house with Beth and Ruby sitting on at her table, while counting up the money that we had made. Annie was looking at her laptop, whilst I was texting Cole to check in on the kids, since I asked him to take them for the night.

"How much is there?" I look up just to see Beth pointing to the money in Ruby's hands.

"Same as yesterday."
