How To Fix A Broken Beta

Chapter 4.

Once we all got to my house I knew my dad wouldn't do anything with company over. even though kat already knew about my abuse along with Allie he didn't know they had found out. him being a beta without practically gives him immunity to the packs laws. our alpha wouldn't do anything because he would have to punish him and replacing a blood born beta isn't an easy task. we all huddled into my room laughing. we hung up the clothes and talked about everything for school for awhile."so what's up with Lukas?" Kat asks me. I blush looking down at my lap. she will just say the same thing that he did. that I'm crazy he's my mate and I would be a wonderful luna. too bad I don't believe it. i sigh before saying "he's my mate what more is there to say?" Allie and kat stare at me mouth gaping. "a lot! Why didn't you tell us? Did you tell him? Why didn't you kiss him when you first noticed? Are you guys dat-" kat said before being interrupted. "YOUR GOING TO BE LUNA OF THE STRONGEST PACK IN AMERIA. THATS A BIG DEAL JAYDE!" Allie screams surprising us both. I smile thankfully at them both but I could see they both picked up the sadness in my eyes. "I'm not going to be Lukas's luna." I said. they both looked at me confused. "You rejected him?" Allies asks quietly turning back into her normal tone. hearing her say it made me feel sick to my stomach that is kind of what I did isn't it? I shake my head "no I didn't reject him. I just told him that he should look at the other girls at school. I'm giving him a chance to take wanting me back." I said. again they both looked at me like I'm some kind of freak. "he's your mate he won't change his mind. he's also an alpha his attraction to you is stronger than a normal mate bond." Allie said giving me a deadly look. oh if they could kill. "I guess you guys are right." I said blowing it off. Kat got up at this and looked around my room. "I don't know about you ladies but I feel like going for a run anyone want to join?" We both nodded.

We pushed ourselves pretty far during our run and fell asleep shortly after. the next morning I woke up first because of an odd dream I had.

I was at the waterfall walking around the pond. I was looking for someone I don't know who but I knew they were behind the water. I knew this yet I continued to look. "Where are you?" I said in a monster voice smiling wide. I looked behind trees and bushes still pretending to look for the person. after a few minutes I jumped behind the water laughing. Before I could see who it was I was pushed backwards and into the water. I heard giggling and a chuckle. i opened my eyes and In front of me seen Lukas but he seemed to be a bit older. maybe only by a few years but I still seem laugh lines beside his eyes and he looked happy. beside him was a little boy around four dressed in a blue teeshirt matching his eyes and jean shorts. He was the exact copy of Lukas but with bright green eyes like mine. "Again mommy again!" The little boy squealed with delight.

I woke up with a weird feeling In my stomach. that little boy was me and Lukas's? No snap out of It jayde. it was just your imagination. you can't see into the future are you crazy? I laughed at myself just thinking about how realistic it was that I thought it was real. Deciding that my friends wouldn't be awake for awhile I climb down the saris and into the kitchen. On the fridge was a note in my dad's cursive.
Package on the porch for you little slut. tell the boy that you arnt interested I could smell him on you and the package.
I knew it was Lukas and I was infuriated. I knew he said he wouldn't give up but leaving me a package was going overboard and now I probably will get a beating from my dad. he beats me any time I smell of a male. I shiver just thinking about it. no. He will not hit me again. I will stay somewhere tonight and he will probably forget in his drunken state. I rip the paper and throw it away. I look out the doors window before opening It and grabbing the package. I close the door and walk back to the kitchen. jumping on the counter I sit on it staring at the package. "jaaaaaaayde." I hear kat scream coming up the stairs. I try to hide the package but I'm not fast enough and she sees it. "what's that? It smells like Lukas? OPEN IT!" She squeals and I know I have to. I take a deep breathe and pull on the little bow holding the box together. I lift the lid and see a smaller box. a ring box. a breathe gets stuck in my throat as I reach and open the box. it is a small silver ring with a cute swirled design. I turn it around and notice two words on the back that I can't read. they look to be in another language. I try to say the words but for some reason I couldn't. "May I see it?" Allie asks holding out her hands. I'm still in shock about how beautiful yet simple the ring is. a smile spreads across her face. "it means soul mate." I look back at my lap where the box is and realize there's a note from Lukas.
