Promised Land

Absolutely gorgeous the falling cherry blossom

It surrounds us in the most vivid of scenes

As the moon tugs us in at night

The stars shine brighter than before

At that point time

When all have gone to pass the eve

Some spend their waking moments

On reclining questions

Some of which were burrowed

Deep in the intake of the soul

The natural resource of thought ever replenishing

With the suppresion of lost feelings

So I come to wonder each and every night

Of what I'm afraid and what I like

Revelling in the peace of silence

Or a whistful tune playing in the background

You can wind a robot all you like

But if you remove the key

He still won't move an inch

So I await my turn

Till my thoughts align

And in peace of mind

I can accept or decline

Hoping I'll turn out allright

Hoping I'll be fine

One of those thoughts brings me to a place

Where cherry blossoms have covered the fields

And such coveted peace can be shared

With someone who'd admire it all just the same

Who'd understand the meaning of it all

Someone unbound and unguided

Taken by the hand

Led forward into your promised land

In the blink of an eye

The air of comfort

Through the beauty of the moment

Seeps through every vein

Putting minds at ease

As eyes meet

We come to realize

Everyone has a dream

But whoever wonders

About whom to take there

Were it to come true

See I think I've seen

That the only one to take there

Would be someone like her
