QT - Nine Lives

Eighth Life

A little boy was squatting next to the gate of the decorated manor. There was a banquet going on inside but he was like a beggar outside waiting for something. He was trembling with cold as the raindrops were constantly hitting him. He was in very embarrassed situation when a ray of light approached him defeating the dark clouds. Someone stopped in front of him "interesting~"

That little boy looked up at the teenager in front of him. His eyes  were a little gloomy as he looked away. He was very familiar with this mocking tone. Everyone looks at him with this mocking gaze.

A familiar cheesy voice made the boy stiffened. He hugged himself and leaned back in darkness. "Duchess Li greats Great Prince."

The teenager looked back at the stunning woman without any interest "you never told me that you have a child of half blood"

She froze and looked at the little child hatefully. She smiled at the teenager "it's just a little matter. How can this slave disturb the great prince about this negligible matter"

The teenager waved his hand and took off his coat and wrapped the little child in it. He took him in his arms "then Duchess Li would not mind taking away this negligible matter"

Duchess Li couldn't stop the teenager and only let him take her stain away. She smiled after a while and returned to the banquet like nothing happened.

That teenager smiled at the little boy in his arms "Don't worry. From now no one will mock you. Now they will only be afraid of you. Have a little faith in yourself"

The little boy's eyes teared up as he swore in his heart 'you are the only light in my darkness. You are my only faith'

He felt his body was burning. It was so hot that his brain was not able to think anymore. He wanted to scream and cry but he only saw a pair od red dazzling eyes before he closed his eyes. He heard a soft voice "From now, you will be one who would look down on everyone, Chen QiXin."

Only if that little boy could know that his original black eyes were now blood red.

Su Qing saw the man in daze and narrowed his eyes "Chen QiXin"

Chen QiXin looked at his master and awaited for his fate.

Su Qing hooked up his chin and licked his lips "I should have bitten you and made you my kin"

Chen QiXin trembled under the possessive gaze of his master. He had a thought of blasphemy but it flee away from his head before he could realize it. "Master. This slave is willing to be your kin"

Su Qing let go of his chin "ah?....but your master is not willing."

Chen QiXin was still kneeling when Su Qing stood up "where is your house?"

Chen QiXin looked at him with surprise "Master?"

Su Qing looked back at him "This lord is a little tired."

Chen QiXin nodded and looked down.
