"Well," I try and fail horribly to hide my excitement, "that does sound like a lot of fun. I'm going to call Dan and ask him if it's okay."
I pick up my phone and excuse myself to the other room to make the call.
I hit his number and wait for him to pick up. This is going to be so awesome, I can't wait to-
"Hey Vic, where are you?"
I hate when you call me that....
"Dan, you know I don't like being called that! Anyways I'm still with my new friends and there's a girl here my age and we've been having a lot of fun and she invited me to stay the night. Is that alright with you?"

Victoria's POV
I anxiously await his answer and after a few long moments of silence I wonder if my phone had dropped the call.
"Danial? Danial are you still there?"
"Yes I'm here, sorry I was just thinking about it. I guess it's alright but are you sure? I mean, how well do you really know these people? Do you feel safe spending the night with them?"
"Of course I feel safe! Trust me Dan, I wouldn't have asked if I didn't feel comfortable with them. If it'll help you feel better I can send you their cabin address."
"Well if you say they are trust worthy, I believe you. However, if at any point you want to come back here for whatever reason, call me. I don't care what time it is, I'll pick you up."
"Thank you Dan! And seriously, don't worry about me. I'll talk to you tomorrow, love you!"
"Love ya Vic, and make sure you text me that address!"
With that I hang up my phone, YES! This is going to be great.
I place my phone back into my pocket and head back to the kitchen. When I walk in, I'm imedeately smacking in the face by the most awkward and tense vibe. The three of them seem to be in what I guess is a serious conversation going by their harsh whispers.
They stopped as soon as they realized I was back, Jane was the first to speak.
"Hey, were you able to convince your brother to let you spend the night?" She asked.
"Uh, yeah, he said I could stay, if you still want me to that is?" I ask, still bewildered as to what was going on.
"Yay! That's awesome! Of course we want you to stay, Jake, won't this be fun?"
"Oh my god, chickflicks, so fun." Jake says sarcastically, teasing his girlfriend.
She and I chuckle at his goofiness. The awkward vibe seemed to be seeping away and I have to admit I was still excited to stay the night. However, the grim look on Blake's face still had me distracted and worried.
Was he unhappy with my decision to stay? Did he not want me here after all? Had I said something to upset him?
Jake was the next to break the silence, "Well, if we males are going to be subjected to your sickly girl movies, we will need pizza. Lots of it. Oh, and beer too!"
"Eh you guys can have the beer, I'll stick with my sugary soda. How about you guys take the frozen pizzas out and pre heat the oven and us girls will go pick out what movie we want to see?" Jane suggests this looking directly into Jake's eyes.
I'm sure she's trying to tell him something and my suspicions are confirmed when Jake grabs Blake by the shoulders so hard you could see his knuckles turn white.
"Sounds good! See you in a few."
Blake's POV
"Come on Victoria, we have a ton of movies to pick from."
I helplessly watch the girls leave and I know Jake is going to continue the talk we had been having earlier. I'd rather chew my arm off.
"So back to what we were talking about before..." Jake starts.
See? Called it. I let out a sigh of frustration.
"I'm done talking about that. There's nothing more to say." I quickly brush his hand off my shoulder and walk over to the freezer to take out the pizzas.
"Nothing more to say? Dude, you find the girl of your dreams and you do an excellent job of explaining to her the whole werewolf thing so I'll give you kudos for that....yet somehow you managed to leave out the most important part. So to hell with the whole you not wanting to talk about it crap!"
I take the pizzas out and slam the freezer door closed, I can feel a rumbling deep in my chest.
"I just told you-"
"No!" Jake interrupts, "None of that! No growling at me and no trying to shut me up. Blake, why didn't you explain to her about the bond?"
I slam the pizzas onto the counter, "I did!"
"You partly did, you know that if you had fully explained it to her, she wouldn't be talking about leaving already. You told her about everything else, why not about the bonding?"
"I didn't want to push my luck alright? She's human, I already dropped some major things on her today and I didn't want to go overboard. I didn't want her to freak out."
Jake gives me a look of pity and sighs, "I understand. It has to be hard that she's human. The possibility that she could reject you is crushing I know....but putting it off won't help. I'm sure by now she's already starting to feel things for you and I'm sure she's confused by it. Talk to her, explain to her what's going on. You need to let her choose."
"Jake....what if she decides not to be my mate? I don't know if I could handle that." The mere thought of not having Victoria in my life makes my chest hurt and my eyes sting.
Jake walks over and gently takes hold of my shoulders, "You're forgetting that she might choose to stay with you. By the way I've seen her looking at you, I'm placing my money on that option, but you still need to explain to her her options and let her decided."
I know he's right, I need to tell her.
Jake continues, "That being the case, why don't we just enjoy our pizza, beer, and company tonight? Jane and I will stay out of your way tomorrow so that you have plenty of space to talk to Victoria then."
He's right, I need to enjoy this while I can. Just one night with her, then I can talk to her. That way if she decides to not stay with me, at least I'll have the memory.
The oven beeps and I throw the pizzas in, "Well, you ready to head over to the TV room?" I ask Jake as I grab the beers.
"For sure. You know, for a big tough Alpha you sure got pretty mushy a couple minutes ago." Jake teases me with a smirk.
I roll my eyes as I walk by him, "Shut it beta," I stop and walk back to him, "but thank you."
Jake smile, "Anytime boss."
