Do you have a friend that annoys the hell out of you when they aren't single? Well if you don't then you can take mine. "CARLOS, STOP ANNOYING ME WITH STORIES OF YOU AND SAM!!!!!!! THE WOMAN PROBABLY ISN'T REAL!" Carlos decided he must prove that Sam was real at 3:57, during the second month at Marke. Thusly, the guys were sitting around Carlos' phone, calling the screen name 'Sam<3'
Ring Ring Ringgggg.
"Leave a message for me, Sam Jacobs, and if you need me urgently, why didn't text me. Anywho...Byeeeee."
Beep.
We all gasped.
SHE WAS REAL?!? WHAT!
"Load the achievement screen, the Carlos got a girlfriend badge has now been obtained." Garrick announced.
"I still don't believe you," said Denny.
"DUDE, you just heard her say she's real!" Carlos said, shocked.
"You could've just had one of the girls record the message," Denny reasoned.
"Yeah," I said, considering it.
"Which girl would do that for me?" Carlos questioned.
"Many would, really, if you convinced them and all," Arash says.
"He's got them beautiful eyes." Jhaysen proclaimed, earning an odd stare from the rest of the guys.
"I bet Lily did it," said Jonny.
A chorus of agreement follows.
"You know what? Let's just call her number again and see," says Carlos, dialing the number.
Ring. Ring.
"Leave a message for me, Sam Jacobs, and if you need me urgently, why didn't text me. Anywho...Byeeeee."
Beep.
"Sammy!" Carlos screamed in exasperation.
"I'm going to sleep." Garrick said tucking himself into a bunk.
"And so our suspicions are confirmed- you had Lily record a message as your fake girlfriend," said Jonny, shaking his head.
"Why don't you just call Lily and ask her about that?" I suggested.
"It's, like, 4 am though," Carlos pointed it out.
"You had no problem waking us or your dear girlfriend up," I said, "and plus, they're probably already up watching YouTube or something."
"Good point," he replied, dialing Lily's number.
Ring. Ring.
"Hey, what's up?" answered Lily extra casually.
"AH! Why do I hear more lifeforms?" said a voice I couldn't pinpoint.
"That's a phone, Maria," said another voice I couldn't place. At least I knew who the first voice was- Maria, a girl who shared the smaller dorm next to the girls' room.
"Ohhh yes thank you, Viviana, I'm stupid." Okay, the other voice belonged to Viviana, Maria's roommate.
"As I was saying, what's up?" repeated Lily.
"I just needed you to tell these people that you did not record a message as Sam and that she is in fact very real," Carlos informs her of our current dilemma.
"I don't recall recording any message, but I can't say I think Sam is real."
"WHAT?"
"Maybe one of the other girls did it. GUYS! DID ANY OF YOU RECORD A MESSAGE AS SAM SO CARLOS COULD PROVE SHE'S REAL EVEN THOUGH SHE'S NOT?"
A chorus of "no" follows, making for a very pleased Carlos.
"Maybe he got us to record it in the middle of the night and we don't remember?" a voice suggests.
"I can buy that," says Lily.
"I have told my parents I would get ready when I was sleeping so it's likely." Emily announced.
"NO!" shouted Carlos, likely waking up half the school if not all of it.
"So that's settled, goodnight." I said, taking the phone from Carlos and hanging up before he could protest.
"Wai- why don't you people think I can have a girlfriend?" We all just ignored Carlos' comment and went to bed.
Now some shut eye.
