Chapter 9- Jonny

Other than our usual activities, the week was pretty boring.

Well, one thing was interesting.. homecoming was coming up. I never really cared for homecoming, because I never had someone to take I guess. Now, I wanted to take someone. However, this someone was taken. By my best friend.

Figures.

The weekend couldn't come fast enough.

When it finally arrived WE WEREN'T HAVING THE TIME OF OUR LIVES! WE WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING! See, I speak smart people too! What do you have to do to get some credit around here?

Emily and Lily came over to our room, where they found Trevor, Jhaysen, Arash and I. According to Emily, the rest of the girls were having way to much fun to look up from their computers/phones. Garrick, Carlos, and Denny were having some sort of "epic meme throwdown" on the roof.

We did nothing all Saturday. That is, we didn't do anything about global warming! We did play some guitar, which was really freaking awesome. We also talked, naturally.

The conversation kinda slowed down a bit at one point. It was one of those awkward almost silences, where you can kind of pinpoint conversations. Emily, Lily and Jhaysen were having a conversation that involved the words: "But Emily likes me physically. She only likes you mentally, plus love would flourish around me." Trevor, Arash and I were talking about a really good looking Gibson les Paul.

"I wanna watch a movie!" Emily announced.

"Good for you." Arash said in response.

"Can we all watch a movie please?" Jhaysen asked nicely. I laughed unconsciously at his effort to be a good boyfriend. I could do way better.

Oops.

"Alright but what?" I questioned. "Batman?"

"You'll figure it out." Lily said as she moved to the lounge, laughing a laugh that sounded a little too maniacal for my taste.

The Notebook.

They made us watch The Notebook and Arash was crying.

"Why you crying?" Trevor asked.

"Because someone," he glared at Emily, "sprayed me in the eye with Cheese Whiz."

We burst out laughing.

At that moment, someone knocked at the door.

Lily got up and opened the door. Silence fell as Britney greeted us with a wide grin.

Well, almost silence fell. I was still laughing like crazy.

"I thought we already warned you that I'm in a relationship," Jhaysen sternly noted as he cuddled closer to Emily. This made me laugh harder. #tryingtobegoals

"I'm not here for you," she scowled at Jhaysen. "I'm here for Jonny!" Cricket. Cricket. Cricket.

Now would have been an amazing time to stop laughing, if only I could.

"What do you want with Jonny?" Lily gave Britney a suspicious glare.

"Well, I was hoping it would be more special," she said, "but come with me to homecoming!"

The laughter dialed down to a nervous one.

"Isn't it a shame that he's already going with me? Because he is, you know. BYE NOW!" Lily slammed the door in her face.

The laughter stopped.

"Um, does this mean we're going to homecoming together?" I asked.

"Moronic doesn't look good on you." Lily rolls her eyes.

"I thought you hated me." No response.

Then we watched Batman.
