I heard the beep of my alarm clock echo in my ears as my eyes fluttered open and I quickly hit the snooze button to avoid waking up Anna. I glanced over at her bed and was grateful to see she was still fast asleep; I didn’t want to wake her up before she needed to get up. While I woke up at 7 to take a shower, she planned on waking up at 7:30 so she could get ready after me and there was no fighting over the bathroom. I closed my eyes not wanting to get up, but I knew if I didn’t Harry would wonder where I was since we were planning on having breakfast before class.

I pulled off the blankets that were wrapped around me and tiptoed to the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I turned on the shower and as soon as it heated up, I hopped in, taking the fastest shower I could while still half asleep. Climbing out of the shower, after using my strawberry-scented shampoo, I wrapped a towel around myself, and I quickly checked that Anna was still asleep before making my way over to my side of the room.

I went to my dresser and pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and a striped top.  I paired it with a floral print scarf and a turtle ring, that was a gift from Taylor. You can’t blame a girl for wanting to look good for her first day at a prestigious private school.  I went back into the bathroom, quickly changed, and then started on my hair. I decided to leave it down and applied some foundation to my face. I traced my eyes with eyeliner and glanced at the clock; it was already 7:25. I opened the closet and pulled out a pair of flats deciding that walking in heels all day would be too big of a risk to take. I grabbed my black bag and notebook and headed out the door. As I started to lock it, I heard Anna’s alarm clock start to ring and then the sound of some shuffling.

I tossed my bag over my shoulder and walked down to the elevator. After pressing the button, I subconsciously began to tap my foot while waiting. When the door finally opened, I was surprised when it revealed a certain curly haired boy looking down at his phone. He started walking forward, not even looking up.

“Yo watch where you’re going!” I exclaimed in my best guy voice and laughed when Harry’s face turned red and he muttered ‘sorry’. “Whatcha lookin’ at anyways?” I asked trying to peer over his shoulder.

“Oh, hey Alex! I was just coming to your room.” He said finally looking up from his phone.

“I thought we agreed on meeting in the lobby.”

“We did, but I thought it would be better if I came up. Honestly, I didn’t think you would be ready,” he laughed nervously.

“Well, I am.” I said as a spun on the ball of my foot.

“And may I say, you look beautiful today.”

“Thanks,” I blushed. Here I was trying to be cool and collected and he makes me blush by saying one thing!  “So what’s on your phone that is so interesting?”

“I was just texting Louis. He’s pretty mad at me for ditching him to go to breakfast with you.”

“He could’ve came. Tell him he can come with us tomorrow.”

“So this is going to be a regular thing?” He asked.

“Yeah, I guess.” I smiled. “ I mean if you want it to be”

“Of course I do.” He smiled, revealing his dimples. “Well, lets go.” He said extending his arm to me so I could loop mine with his. “We don’t want the cafe to get too crowded.”

We climbed onto the elevator and I was about to pull my hand out from his but he tightened his grip smirking at me. I tried pulling away but it was no use so I just relaxed and rolled my eyes at him before pressing the button for the lobby. We made our way through the lobby, which was surprisingly crowded, and I took in who I would be having classes with. They all seemed pretty nice and one girl even waved at me. I smiled back surprised people were being so friendly. Back in New York City it was never like this since everyone was always rushing around minding their own business.
