After trying on three different outfits, I just decided on wearing a pair of shorts, an old T-shirt, and blue flip flops. I went down to meet up with Emma and Jess. When I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw Jess taking off her apron and Emma laying across the red plush couch scrolling through her phone. They didn’t notice I was there yet.

“Tell Zayn we are on our way.” Jess told Emma.

I made a little noise to tell them I was here. They both glanced up from what they were doing and looked at me.

“Is this fine to wear to the party? I mean its not a fancy thing is it?” I asked.

“No it’s not a fancy party, its just like a get together type thing.” Jess smiled

“Here let us help you,” Emma said hopping up from the couch. They laid my suitcase on the ground and unzipped it and started searching through my clothes. Emma pulled out one of my shirts. It was a sleeveless shirt that was dark blue that I forgot that I even brought with me. She matched it with a pair of black denim shorts.

“Try on this. I have shoes that will go perfect with this,” Emma said handing me the outfit. I went back upstairs and quickly changed, put on some eyeliner and mascara, and then returned downstairs.

“You look great!” Jess smiled.

“Thanks!”

“Okay let’s go!” Emma said grabbing her bag off the chair. I rolled my luggage out to her car and packed it in the trunk. I climbed into the backseat and we headed towards the school. I watched which way they took paying close attention to the roads they were going on, just in case I ever had to find my way around.

“Here we are!” Emma said pulling into the parking lot. “Welcome to Westminster! This is the main building but the students dorms are right around the corner.” We climbed out of the car, grabbed my luggage from the back, and started our walk towards the main building. The school was a lot bigger than I had expected and was really fancy, but now that I thought about it, I remember recalling it as being a pristine college, so why wouldn’t it be. It stood almost as a castle, the walls having an intricate design and numerous of clock towers. It was definitely a step up from my basic high school.

“So what do you think?” Jess asked, slowing down a little so she matched my pace, while Emma walked in front of us leading the way.

“It’s big and nothing like I expected” I said, not really knowing how else to describe it’s beauty. But in reality I was intimidated. I mean why did I deserve to go to class with these wealthy kids who had name brands on their clothes, while I was just some girl from New York that had a knack at taking pictures and never really spent money on clothes.

“I remember feeling that way the first time I saw it.Trust me, you get used to it’s beauty when you get to see the rest of England.” Jess said, as we followed Emma through the door, the cold air from the air condition system feeling really good on my skin compared to the hot August air. I didn’t really know what she meant but I guess I would find out soon.

We walked up to the front desk where a pretty girl that looked to be in her 20s sat, wearing a tight pink top and shorts. She had straight, strawberry blonde hair that went right past her shoulders and a very open smile.

“Hi! Welcome to Westminster. My name is Jen. Can I help you?”

“ Yeah. I’m here for my room assignment.” I said. Jen seemed pretty nice and already the school seemed less intimidating.

“Name?” She asked, while opening something up on the computer that sat in front of her.

“Alex Fletcher.” I stated, placing my bags down beside me.
