Chapter 7~ A Night to Remember

“This is Anna’s house! Like where she lives!?” I asked wide eyed looking at the house. House scratch that, it is more like a mansion. We went around the back to where the party was set up. The first thing I saw when I walked through the gate was a gigantic pool, probably the biggest pool I have ever and will ever see in my life, that was lit up. Along with the pool being lit up, there were beautiful white and purple twinkly lights lining the fence that encircled the area.

Once I finally dragged my eyes away from the pool, I saw that up against the house, under a gazebo, there was a DJ with at least 20 people dancing and cheering with drinks in their hands while Die Young blasted through the speakers. In that same area, there were tables set up with tons of different foods.

“Yeah, her dad owns a car dealership. They are like super rich.” Zayn answered. I sure didn’t need Zayn pointing out they were rich, the evidence was laid out in front of me and I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.

“You guys are here!” Anna said coming towards us with a red cup in her hand, wearing a mini skirt and a super tight black tank with the top cut low. She pulled Zayn and then Louis into a tight hug. “Drinks are over there!” She said pointing to a table with tons of bottles of liquor on it. She must have had every brand of alcohol that was sold. There was so much!

“Alex! Oh my god!” My eyes flicked from the liquor table to Anna’s eyes. Oh man, what if she is mad that I borrowed her shirt? Well I guess there was nothing I could do about it now. “That shirt looks great on you!” she pulled me into a tight, unexpected hug and then turned to Harry and did the same. “Well, since it’s your first time here,” Anna said, “how about I show you around!”

“Sounds good! Thanks!” I smiled. She lead me into the kitchen, which consisted of a giant stove and two ovens and an island in the middle.

“So this is the kitchen, if you couldn’t figure that out yourself,” she giggled, “ and right around that corner is the bathroom.” She said pointing to a dark hallway. “Then, there is the living room to your left and the stairs are in the front of the house, in case you need to go up stairs for some reason,” she said winking at me. Yeah, that was not going to happen. “If you need help finding anything I’m sure the lads would be more than happy to help you out,” she said smiling and then took a sip of her drink.

“Oh sorry. I’m being so rude. Can I get you a drink?”

“Umm, no I’m good for right now.” And for the rest of the night if I could help it.

“Okay! Well I’ll see you around, I need to go and greet some other guests. Toodles!” Anna said and stumbled off to back where the DJ was. I could already tell she had more than one drink. I went out back to look for Harry and everyone else.

I spotted them sitting by the pool. Niall and Emma were sitting at the edge sticking their toes in the water, while everyone else was standing behind them talking with each other. I made my way over and stood next to Zayn who had a cup of beer in his hand.

“I’m telling you guys, we need to make a study group or I am going to fail maths this year,” Louis said. “I just barely passed last year.” I was surprised to hear Louis talking about something so serious.

“We can but then we need to actually study. Remember our English study group?” Liam asked.

“Yeah, well maths is a whole different subject and I can already tell I’m going to need help.” Louis sighed and took a big gulp from the cup he was holding.

“Oh, there you are Alex!” Jess said letting go of Liam’s hand and came to stand next to me. “What do you think?”

“Her house is amazing!” I said, taking a look at it again. I couldn’t imagine growing up in a house with at least twenty rooms and its own swimming pool, when I had lived most of my life in a small New York apartment.
