Partying, laughing, teasing and cursing Rakshit's bachelor party had come to an end or three friends which included Shaurya, Kabir and Uday were calling it a night, leaving the other two persons there.

"You don't want to go home?" Rakshit turned to his left side where Viraj was lying on grass, looking up to the star studded sky, just like him. "It's already late. Your wife must be waiting for you."

Viraj looked at him, "Nope. I have informed her that I would be late." His gaze back to where it's previous, up to the enormous sky.

Silence.

Both friends were drawn in silence, hanging unspoken words in the air. They felt relief without nobody's evading their minds. And they knew that too, because they were connected to each other, somehow somewhere in their lives.

"So...?" Viraj started to lighten their cold silence. "You are gonna be a husband by tomorrow." His lips tugged up slightly. "What do you feel, Rakshit?"

"What did you feel then?" Rakshit did not smile, nor turn to look at him.  He really meant what he asked.

"Hey! It was my question. You have to answer. Don't you dare to dodge it like always." Viraj waited for him to speak until he lost his patience which was merely one minute, he punched Rakshit's arm. "Tell me, bastard."

Rakshit laughed at his not so sweet endearment. He sat up straight and followed Viraj. "You never change." He shook his head.

"Neither do you." Viraj deadpanned.

Rakshit agreed to his friend, "Yes. I really am..." a hurtful laugh past his lips. "In fact Rakshit has me here," he pointed to his heart. "And he is still there...I can feel him..." it seemed he was talking to him rather than Viraj.

"Rakshit." Viraj shook him, holding his shoulder. "What the f*cking nonsense you are talking about? Tomorrow is your wedding--"

"I am afraid, Viraj." Rakshit really was scared.

"What?" Viraj yelled. He looked around, just to check whether he had seen something that scared him. "What are you afraid of?" He realised Rakshit had spoken about his feelings.

"About myself." Rakshit admitted with a defeated sigh.

"What?" Viraj inched closer to him and placed his hand on his shoulder, in a comforting way. "There is something you want to talk to me about?" Rakshit nodded his head. "Okay. You know what, you can tell me anything. I won't judge you ever." He assured him with a smile.

"I know." Rakshit smiled as well and looked down at his hands on his lap, as if contemplating himself how to start it. "Tomorrow we get married as I wish. Finally it's gonna happen, but...but what's next?" He looked up to Viraj who was listening to him, unwavering his gaze. "What if I turned out to be my old self? Return to the Rakshit whom everyone hates. Then, ours shall be a failure. And certainly, she will break it, take Ved and walk out of my life forever..." He did not look up to Viraj when he finished, because he could not. The fear of losing his loved ones was eating him up. It was torturous more than he could say it through verbally.

"Hey! You sound like a pessimist." Viraj made efforts to ease his downfall.

"What if I am not a good father?" Rakshit did not heed to his statement as he went on his self pity. "What if I am not a good husband? What if I--" his rantings had been broken by Viraj who shook him hard to take him out of his trance.

"RAKSHIT!"

As if coming back to the world, Rakshit was quiet, taking in his surroundings.
