We walk into a smaller room. Corey walks into Brandon then into a draw
"Corey are you ok?" Elton asks "are you just running to draws?" he frowns "Corey?" Corey walks into a wall. I try my best to hold back my laughter "oh he's lagging. Guys he's lagging"
"Corey, Corey, Corey" Corbin places his hands on coreys shoulder. I shake my head at the silliness
"Take the cable in and out" Brandon says
"Thea unzip him and take the cable out" Corbin holds Corey
"I'm good ta" the boys carry on with the little... skit?
Elton darkens the mood by asking Tom a question about the dark past of the asylum, to which Tom replies
"This building were in now is where the lobotomies took place"
"They did lobotomies in here?" Corbin's eyes widen
"Yes, well actually Eloise was the first place in the United States to do x-rays"
"Oh really?" Elton looks surprised
"It might have been the first place in the world, but there was a German doctor in here to practice x-rays. They did uhh, hypotherapy where they would put you in a tub, I'll show you the tub later, but at least 4 people died in there and 1 was a little girl"
"Wow" I gasp "how anyone thought that was acceptable, I will never truly understand" I shake my head
"They would put you in that tub and put a cover over you and I mean they could take that water from 200 degrees to 0 in seconds
"What?" Brandon frowns
"Yes" Tom nods sadly "they would hold them underwater, 'casue they though a near death experience would ugh reset their minds and a little girl drowned in that tub"
"Dude thats so messed up" Corey looks completely shocked
"Back in the early 1900s, if you had a mentally handicapped child they thought they were possessed by a demon"
"How could you live with yourself" Corbin says
"I suppose back then they were more worried about being possessed by a demon because they didn't understand disabilities, like if you had anxiety or depression or Autism then you were, odd or possessed. Where as now we know that there a different disabilities about and our society are more excepting, although there will always be the few that are stuck in the old ways" I sigh at the end of my little rant.
"That's weird. Is that a walrus?" Corbin points to a stuffed animal. Brandon picks it up laughing
"It's a bunny" he says
"I saw the whiskers and I thought walrus" I frown looking at Corbin
"You saw..." Elton starts also frowning
"Whiskers" I look between Corbin and Elton then see the daw behind Elton move
"Was that you?" Corbin asks
"No. Look at my hands bro, how could that be me?" Elton nervously smiles
"It wasn't Elton I saw it move"
"Watch our watch out" Corbin pushes the door to see if there's anyone in there and of course there isn't... well not a living human
"That happened when I picked this up. Should I put it down?" Brandon asks still with the bunny in his hands
"Errrrm yeah" I say in a duh tone
"I didn't see it, but I heard it"
"Same" Corbin responds
"I actually saw it. It wasn't a huge movement but enough that I can confidently say yes it moved"
"Here's the thing, there's no windows in there either" Elton continues look around the room. Elton closes the door and the boys all agree that that was definitely the sound they heard. Looks like I'm the only one who saw it.
We move to a different area of the building. One where they did dental care
"Thea sit in the chair" my brother asks
"No. You know I hate the dentist, plus someone probably died in that chair" I shudder
"Please? you might get a reading on the room" I groan and roll my eyes
"Fine" I sit down on the chair and close my eyes. I feel sharp pain in my lower gums where my wisdom teeth are coming through "what the fuck?" I breathe out
"What is it?" Corey asks concerned
"I have a bad pain in my gums where my wisdom teeth are" I get up from the chair and Brandon sits down. Elton tells him to open his mouth. He pinches Brandon's nose then shoved paper in his mouth
"There's definitely a cavity in there" Corbin laughs
"Say I love apple sauce" Brandon repeats Elton, but it's all muffled. Suddenly Elton gets out a permanent marker "now we mark where the incision needs to be"
"No" Brandon protest. I would do the same
"Looks like we're going to have to pull out your K-tooth"
"Ha ha your better at puns than me" Elton sarcastically says to Corey
"K-tooth" he repeats because not everyone got the joke
"Ohhhh K-2" Corbin finally realises.
