"I really like you Jungwon. And I've been wanting to tell you for a while now but I just didn't have the courage." I looked down at our hands which were interlocked.
"I like you too, Jay."
His answer made me look up.
"You... do?" He just smiled softly and nodded.
"Who wouldn't? You're sweet, your funny, you're always there for the people you love and always ready to protect them... you are an amazing friend and a person with so many talents that it would take me hours to name them all... You're just like how I see snow..." Hearing him say all of these things made me melt, making me smile. I was staring at him with heart-eyes, he was just breath-taking... I looked at him with confusion because of the comparison he made and asked;
"Like snow...?" He giggled and I swear I felt like I had just heard angels singing. He was going to be the death of me...
"Yeah, like snow... It looks cold from the outside but if you look closer, you can see the beauty of it, the detail... the perfection of it, and how mesmerizing and special every single snowflake is. I could never live without snow; I would feel empty without it... It brings me joy and the thought of it going away makes my heart ache. That's how I see you as well... You bring me happiness and joy and I'm scared of losing you. I don't want to imagine my life without you..."
My eyes started watering after hearing how Jungwon thinks of me. He is so precious.
I got closer to him and slowly leaned in for a kiss, making sure he was comfortable with it as well. After seeing him also leaning in, I connected our lips and, pouring in all my love, I kissed him gently. We slowly broke apart but didn't move from the position we were in.
"You are the only person who could make me love something I hate and despise... The thought of snow always made me annoyed, feeling like it always brought me bad luck but the way you describe it and you see it makes me start liking it more and more... Your happiness is my happiness. From now on, every time I see snow, I will think about you just like you think about me. That way, no matter where we are, we will always be connected through this." Both of our hands were interlocked, neither of us wanting to let go.
"Jungwon, you are the sweetest and most beautiful person I've ever met. You always amaze me. You are so strong; going through so many horrible things and still being able to smile at the end of the day. The love and care that you have for your friends and the way you never give up and always try your best is just something that I love and respect so much, the determination and courage you have to face anything that is coming in your direction. You are an angel, my little angel. You make me fall for you, even more, every time you look at me with those eyes. The eyes that look like they hold the whole Universe in them."
We were both smiling at each other.
I wanted to ask him to be my boyfriend but I knew that it would be too fast for the boy in front of me so I decided to just take things slow. And, when the right time would come, I would ask him to be with me in the best way possible and I already knew how.
But until then, I had to wait and take everything step by step. First thing was to ask him out;
"Yang Jungwon, would you give me the honor to take you out on a date on Friday night at 7 pm?"
"It would be my pleasure."
It's been a few days since he accepted to go on a date with me. That day, we relaxed in my apartment while cuddling and watching movies. Staying like that, without a worry, made us both happy and, after our 4th movie, we fell asleep in each other's arms.
But that's not the point right now.
There was only one day left until our date and I was PANICKING. Like straight up pacing around my room like I was crazy. In less than 20 hours, I would be going on a date with the boy I'm in love with!!
"What if I fuck up? Will he even like it if we go there? Maybe I will say something stupid and make him dislike me. Oh my God, what am I going to wear?!" Sunghoon, who was supposed to be there to help me, just rolled his eyes.
"Calm down, will you? It's not like you are asking him to marry you in front of a billion people, you are just going on a date. Why are you so stressed? He already told you he likes you so why are you so worried?"
"Because it's our first date! I just want it to be perfect..." "You, my friend, have to chill out. I'm sure it will be great. And, from what I saw, he would still like you even if you showed up in pajamas and told him that the date is just binge-watching Disney movies."
*Jungwon's pov*
"What am I going to do? What if I say something dumb?! Jake, what am I going to do?!! He didn't even tell me where we are going! What am I supposed to wear?" I was close to having a panic attack at this point while Jake tried calming me down telling me that everything was gonna be fine and shit but it didn't make me feel much better.
"Jungwon, calm your ass down. It's just a date. I know you are nervous but you have to take it easy. Jay Hyung is whipped for you and literally, nothing in this world can change that, okay?"
"Okay... But can you help me choose my outfit, I really have no clue what I should wear!"
"Of course. Do you need a hug?"
"Yes, please..."
I was thankful that I had Jake as a friend. He really helped me a lot.
"Thank you."
"No problem, now let's make Jay Hyung's mouth drop tomorrow, what do you say?" He grinned at me, making me excited. I just couldn't wait for the date.
