Our first live

They all were at Kanan's house. "We finished the song. Now, all we need are the photos!" Chika exclaimed as Kanan got a photo album. "I haven't looked at it or anything, but Mari gave it to me before...." Kanan said as she opened it, "Kanan, you choose the photos." Dia said as Kanan looked through the photos and smiled, "She had a bright shiny smile...." Kanan said as she picked out the photos. "Perfect, I'll scan them into the computer..." You said, "Great. I'm going to visit Mari. I'll be back soon." Kanan said, heading to the cemetery. "Does she visit her every day?" Yoshiko asked, "Yeah, at first we went with her because we wanted to make sure she'd be okay going alone once Chika thought it was okay, we stopped going." You said

Kanan made it to the cemetery and sat down next to Mari's grave. "We finished the song, and I picked out beautiful photos of you...." Kanan said as she touched Mari's grave, "I miss you so much. I've gotten better during school. I haven't left school at all this week." Kanan said, "I know you're proud of me, but I never thought you would be gone. It was so hard...." Kanan cried, "I want a hug from you, Mari, but I know I can't get one...." Kanan said as her voice cracked, "I love you, Mari." Kanan said as she broke down, "Seeing the helicopter explode, I haven't been diving in 2 years. I wish every time I see a shooting star I wish that we will be together forever, but it never comes true it will never come true I love you, Mari." Kanan cried as she wiped her tears. "I'll see you tomorrow Mari. I love you...." Kanan said as she got up and slowly left and headed back to her house but stopped at Mari's house. "I miss you...." Kanan said, walking home and going inside "How was your visit?" Chika asked "Good like always." Kanan said as she sat down. "So you cried?" Dia said, "I never said that, Dia. I said it was good like always!" Kanan immediately said "Good like always means you cried?" Chika questioned, "No, it doesn't. It means that it was good like always. Dia! Stop trying to worry them..." Kanan said "Kanan! Tell me the truth!" Dia said "I did it was good I had a good talk with her we talked Dia!!!!!" Kanan said "I'll stop because you're about to cry...." Dia said "Oh how about we have a sleepover here tonight!" Chika exclaimed "No I know what you're trying to do Chika you're trying to get me to go diving...." Kanan said, "Perfect, so everyone will go home and come back, then we'll go diving." Chika said, leaving with everyone except Dia. "I agree with Chika-San you need to dive again..." Dia said "But diving I can't do I went by her house it's still too hard Dia...." Kanan said pulling out her first year uniform "Kanan...." Dia said, "It still has her smell. I just kept it because it's the last outfit I hugged her in....." Kanan said as tears streamed down her face. "Try to for Mari. She would want you to." Dia said as Kanan wiped her tears. "I'll try for Mari..." Kanan said.

Everyone came back and changed into their diving suits and went out on the boat, and Kanan drove it out to her favorite spot and stopped the boat. Kanan looked at the water but then looked at the sky. "I can't...." Kanan said, looking down. "Come on Kanan I know you can!" Chika said, remaining positive. "For Mari..." Dia said, "I can't....." Kanan said, "I have an idea. How do we all dive in together? Maybe that would make you more comfortable." You suggested, "She's going to have a panic attack..." Dia said, taking Kanan away from the edge of the boat, "I'm sorry, it's just every time I looked at the sea, I see the helicopter parts and...." Kanan started but started having a panic attack "It's okay you're okay." Dia said, hugging Kanan as Kanan started to breathe normally. "I miss her...." Kanan said, "Kanan...." Chika and You said

After the failed attempt to get Kanan to go diving. "She went to say goodnight...." Dia said, "Let's follow her!" Chika said as they left and hid not to be seen. "Mari, I just want to be with you...." Kanan cried as Chika's eyes widened. "But I know I can't despite how I'm feeling. I can't make Chika worry again...This isn't the first time I was like this when we were kids. My grandmother died, and it's was my fault too, just like what happened to you. If I hadn't pushed you to study abroad, you wouldn't have gotten on that plane, and you would still be here, Mari....." Kanan said, breaking down. "Hug!! What are you doing here?!" Mari's Mother said, "I was talking to her. I know you hate me, but you can't deny me this. I can't keep going if I can't talk to her..." Kanan said as her voice cracked, "You're faking! You don't care about her!!" Mari's Mother said as Kanan got up and ran away, "Wait, Kanan!!!!!! Stop!!!!!!!" Chika and You yelled, running after her. Once they caught up to Kanan, they grabbed her hand. "Please don't do this, Kanan, please!!!!" Chika cried, "We can't lose you too...Think about Dia-San....." You said, "I'm sorry for worrying you. I wasn't going to do anything to myself....." Kanan said as she hugged them "Promise?" Chika asked "Promise!" Kanan said as they went back to Kanan's house, "I'm going to bed...." Kanan said, going into the bathroom and changing into her nightclothes and getting in bed as she listened to voicemails from Mari. "Mari...." Kanan whispered, pulling the covers over her head as she silently cried, "Poor Kanan....." Chika said, "Her mother hates us but to say that Kanan doesn't care, that's just wrong...." Dia said, "But she'll get better, right?" Ruby asked "I would be lying if I said yes....." Dia said, "Wait has she been to her house?" You asked, "Not that I know of...." Dia said.

The next day was the first live show. "Ooooh, I'm so nervous...." Chika said as Kanan was silent the whole day she was getting messages from Mari's mother. "Hey, it'll be fine, Kanan." Dia said, "Yeah, it'll be fine." Kanan said, trying to hide her face. "What happened? You were fine this morning....." Dia said, "Mari's mother was texting me all these terrible text messages. She just hurt me, but I'm still going to perform." Kanan said, wiping her tears with a tissue as they returned to the others. "Okay, let's do this for Mari-San!" Chika exclaimed as they counted down to 8. "Aqours Sunshine!" They said as Mijuku Dreamer started. Then it got to Mari's part, and the pictures Kanan picked out came on the screen. Then the song ended a few minutes later. Chika nudged Kanan to speak.

They all agreed that it should be her that said it. "This school idol group is a tribute group to my best friend Ohara Mari, who passed away two years ago from the helicopter she was in exploding over the ocean. But even though she's not here anymore, she'll live on through Aqours, the group she loved so very much. So please support us." Kanan said, holding back her tears as they went off the stage "The star chart I want it....." Kanan said, "You can't go in there and get it. She won't let you get it....." Dia said, "I need to make a wish with that one, Dia!" Kanan said, "Kanan...." Dia said, "I'll help you then." Dia said, "We all will help you make your wish. I know how much you love the stars!" Chika exclaimed as they changed and headed to Mari's house and knocked on the door and saw a girl Kanan's and Dia's age. "Is that Mari-San?" Chika asked, "No!" Kanan and Dia said, "Who are you?" You asked, "My name is Mari!" Mari said, "No, you're not. There's only one Ohara Mari, and that isn't you!" Kanan said, walking in, going to Mari's room, getting the star chart, and walking out. "Hug!! What are you doing here?!" Mari's mother yelled "You replaced your own daughter!!!! How dare you do that naming her Mari? I know Mari rebled against you because you wouldn't let her see us but trying to replace your child is just cruel!" Kanan said, running away in tears, locking the shop door, locking the front door, going into her bedroom, and breaking down in tears. All the progress Kanan made was gone as she got a phone call from Chika. "Kanan!!!!!! Open the door!!!!!" Chika yelled, "No, I'm not coming back to school!!!!!" Kanan yelled, "Kanan, who are you yelling at?" Kanan's Grandfather asked, "I'm yelling at Chika. They are outside." Kanan said as her voice cracked. "Kanan, I'm putting my foot down. You can't miss school anymore. I know you're hurting, but you can't miss school. I've already talked to your mother and father about this, and they agree and if you don't listen to me, then listen to Anna." Kanan's Grandfather said, "Fine. I'll go to school...." Kanan said
