The Land of Cardion - Part 1

"Young one...", the queen says, "As you may know, I am sick and will soon decease. You are the only wizard available in this kingdom and therefore I have a task for you. Sail across the Ocean of Darkness, as the mountain ranges are far too high to reach, and cross through the Kingdom of Spades and the Kingdom of Clubs. Carefully enter the Broken Kingdom of Hearts and obtain the sacred scroll of the cure to this rare disease. Only a wizard is able to enter but you entering alone is too dangerous. Create your own team along the way to help guide you. Can I trust you with this mission?" 

Queen Jess, ruler of Kingdom of Diamonds, requested me to help cure her as I am the only wizard available. This journey of mine is indeed dangerous. I could have declined but I would then only be known as the one who let the queen die. I don't want to be remembered that way. I want to be the hero of the Kingdom and not a forgotten soul lost in the wind. I will be the one who saves the day and make my parents proud. 

I went home to pack all my stuff I needed for the journey. Clothes, food, water, weapons, potions and all that. Even though I have the power to control fire, bringing spare weaponry could come in handy. 

"Aww.. Look at our Chichi all grown up!" my mother, Liliee, says, "Kirumi! Come say bye to our son before he leaves!"

"Goodbye, Chiro and stay safe. Make sure you stay healthy.", my other mother, Kirumi, says. My parents both hug me tightly before letting me go for my journey. I got onto a wooden sailboat and waved to my parents as I drifted away from the sand, into the ocean. 

They say that the Ocean of Darkness is so dark that the bottom of the ocean is almost never ending. Once you fall in, you are pulled down into the abyss for all eternity. Not once has there been such human being to return to the surface after falling in. Only the creatures of the sea can return due to the ocean being their natural habitat. 

The wind was quite nice today. The right amount of breeze pushing the sail towards the forbidden ruins. I sat on the boat, while writing in my journal. I wrote about how I was given this great opportunity and how I will successfully help the queen. As I was writing peacefully, I heard a thump on the side of my boat. Carefully, I looked over to the side of the boat and saw nothing. I heard the same thump on the other side. I quickly looked over to see nothing but water again. The sound of thumping on the sail caused my heart to beat faster. I was afraid that something was below me and would knock my boat over and then I would sink to the depths of the ocean. The thumps below me got louder and louder as I stayed silent, unable to do anything. I knew my life would end right there.

Suddenly, the thumping stopped. I thought that the creature left but I should know that the creature appears soon after I feel safe. I looked around swiftly for any sign of the creature until a small object leaped out the water and landed in the front my boat. The sail on the boat blocked my view from the creature. I peeked around the sails and saw.... an axolotl? 

I moved closer towards the axolotl and softly patted its head. It made little squeaks hinting that it enjoyed it and giggled at the cute creature. It then started wandering around my boat until it made its way to my bag. Confused, I followed the axolotl that was digging in my bag as it pulled out a potion. What was it going to do with it? The animal dropped the potation and the lid came off.

"H-HEY!" I cried out, I quickly went to go pick up the potion but the axolotl already starting drinking it. "AH! NONONONONO! DON'T DRINK THAT!" I put the potion away quickly and tried grabbing the axolotl but it jumped on me then ran to the front of the boat again. I wiped the slimy water off my face when I heard a loud 'poof' sound come from the front of the boat. I peeked over the sails again and saw a person. A girl figure to be exact. WITH NO CLOTHES???
