Radioactive spiders and tall buildings

You were doing your usual rounds around your work place : Oscorp when you walked into someone, you waited to feel the impact of the floor but opened your eyes to be met face to face with Peter Parker.

You pulled yourself away from him and straightened your outfit with a small smile "Peter. What are you doing here?"

The boy nodded as he made gestures with his hands "Well, I Uhm...I'm here for a tour"

"Ah, the one Gwen's leading?"

The boy nodded at her.

You knew who Peter was because of school and you were Gwen's younger sister, but only by a year.

"Then I think you should get back to that tour Parker"

"I didn't know you knew my name"

You nodded "Of course I know your name Peter, I can keep my head out of a book long enough to know who you are"

The pair chuckled but your face was laced with concern within seconds when Peter grabbed the back of his neck in pain.

You quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him into your office, closing and locking the door behind you.

"What's wrong?"

He shook his head at you "I...I don't know, something bit me"

"Here, let me look" he turns around and you stand up on your tiptoes and take a look at his neck but you see nothing "Peter"

He turns back around to face you "What?"

"There's nothing there"

"Well that's impossible, something definitely bit me"

You pondered and shook your head, Peter looked at you contentedly "What? Why are you shaking your head?"

You look up at him with raised eyebrows "Where did you come from earlier before I walked into you? Because that wasn't from the usual tour route, I know that route like the back of my hand. Peter where were you?"

Peter inwardly groaned as he realized he had been caught out "The shared genetics lab"

Your eyes widened as you sighed "Radioactive spider"

"What?"

"Qould you stop saying that!" You shook your head "I'm sorry for snapping at you"

Peter shook his head "No, don't worry about it"

"It's just I think you were bitten by one of the radioactive spiders"

Peter was going to speak but stopped himself knowing that when he kept saying the word what? Was starting to annoying you.

"Radioactive what now?"

"Those spiders were bred for cross genetics Peter, meaning there will definitely be some side effects because of that bite"

You watched as he covered his face with his hands and took a seat on a desk that was in your office.

You gently sighed as you slowly pulled his hands away from his face "They won't be bad Peter, you just have to be careful and tell me if anything happens"

He nodded at you slightly "I think I have to go" he stood up and stopped at the door as you called his name.

"Peter! I don't think you should be alone, y'know incase anything happens"

He smiled at you and nodded his head "Come on then"

"I need to check out first"

The two of you chuckled as you made it towards the stairs but stopped when Gwen stepped infront of the two of you.

She looked at Peter and held her hand out with and expecting look "Give me the badge"

Your face twisted in confusion as you looked at your sister until you actually looked at the badge on Peter's jacket and let out a chuckle "Really Peter? You stole a kid's badge?"

"What? I had a reason" he handed the badge back to your sister.

Gwen looked at you with her head tilted to which you copied "Gwen what are you looking at?"

"Mr. Conners doesn't like it when you clock out early"

You sigh "Gwen it's an emergency! Peter needs my help with something important"

Gwen's eyebrows raised "And what's so important that it can't wait another hour?"

"Well if it did he would have to stay here with me"

Gwen shook her head "Fine, get out of here I'll tell Conners dad called you home. Just don't be late for dinner you know how he gets when you are"

You nodded and threw her your own badge before you and Peter left the Oscorp building.

For some reason you ended going through the building and up to the roof of the empire state building.

The two of you sat on the edge of the roof as you spoke.

"Peter"

He looked down at you and shook his head for you to continue.

"Y'know cause a spider bit you, I'm going to call you spiderman"

"Really? Spiderman?"

You giggle a little "Yes, spiderman"

You chuckled at his expression making him laugh too.

The both of you spent most of the day on the door of the empire state building just talking or sitting in silence.
