Life When Your Broke

"Hey Starr do you wanna get some boba?" I ask.

"Ally we literally don't have any money, you spent all your money at Barnes and Nobels and I spent all my money on Genshin (Genshin is a video game for all you uneducated people)" Starr replied.

"I'm so boooooooored." I expressed. It gets really boring around the apartment when villains knock out the power.

"Me too, but we're too broke to go anywhere." Starr explains.

I know we're broke but I really want go somewhere with power.

"I'll be right back I'm gonna go annoy Broccoli head." I said already halfway out the door. I walked to Dekus apartment which wasn't far.

I knocked on the door.

"Oh hi Ally if you came to hang out with Izuku then I'm sorry but he left a while ago for training. But how are you?" Aunty Inko asks.

Me Bakugou and Starr all started calling Izukus mom Aunty Inko because we've all known each other for so long.

"I'm good. How are you?" I ask.

"I'm doing fine but after this power outage I don't know what we'll eat since everything in the fridge has gone bad." Aunt Inko explains.

"Oh me and Starr could go get some groceries for you." I tell her.

"Oh I don't wanna trouble you guys with it." She begins.

"Don't worry about me and Starr haven't really had anything to do since the power outage began anyways." I tell her.

"You two are angel's come inside and I'll write a list down for you two." She says.

I walk inside and sit at the dining table. The whole room is pretty dark except for a few candles. After I get the list I race back to the the apartment to tell Starr. I kick down the door probably breaking it. Oops.

"Starr let's go get groceries!" I tell her whilst waving around the grocery list.

"With what our nonexistent money." Starr says, rejecting the idea.

"Actually they're for Aunty Inko." I explain.

As we walk to the grocery store Starr explains in full detail her plan to win the sports festival. Which was basically ice powers go brrr.

We finally arrive to the grocery store and it's packed with people getting last minute groceries. Fuck. As we push through the hordes of people it's hard to even find what we're looking for. In the end we couldn't find a lot of the stuff on the list and decided to go to another store.

We had to walk all the way to the subway so we could go to a grocery outside of the area. We're about halfway to our destination when the train comes to a sudden stop. Surprised I fall flat on my face in the middle of the train. Starr laughing her ass off didn't help. On the speaker we hear a someone make a announcement "I am the DrillRat and I've taken over the train blah blah blah evil plan evil plan that blah blah blah" they said something like that. There would probably be a long delay on the train ride so I text Aunty Inko to tell her we probably won't be back for a while, leaving the villain attack out of course since there's no reason to worry her. I let out a long sigh.

While we wait for the attack to be over we start a game of uno on the ground. The frightened citizens look at us questioningly.

"What are you two doing this is a emergency you shouldn't just be sitting around playing games!" A rude guy shouts.

"This is why you're 60 years old and single." I tell him.

"For you information I'm only 40 years old and I'm married." He repute's

"Not for long." Starr states while looking at her cards.

We play three rounds of uno and Starr wins 2 to 1. Why must life pain me this way. There's a announcement that the train will continue and the delay is finally over.

We finally get to the next grocery store and luckily there aren't many people. We managed to find everything on the list and head back.

When we got back It was pretty late and we were pretty tired. As we knocked on the door to deliver the groceries I pondered what we would eat for dinner.

"Oh you guys are back thank you so much for the groceries come in sit down." Aunty Inko said after opening the door. As we found our way to the couch to rest Izuku came into the room.

"What are you guys doing here? Do you need help with one of you guy's rituals again?" Broccoli head questioned.

"Nope. We just got groceries for Aunty Inko. But we should probably get going..." I started

"You two should stay for dinner after all you got the ingredients." Aunty Inko told us.

Izuku looked like he lost 10 years off his life but me and Starr accepted right away. It was always nice to have dinner at Aunty Inko instead of the usual cup of noodles.

This was a day in the life of two broke kids.
