Midnight begins her lecture on the next challenge "only the top 42 will advance to the next round blah blah blah...." Wait 42, isn't that a random number. I mean I did hear once that 42 is the meaning of life. At this point I start going down a rabbit whole on what the meaning of life is before realizing I space out for the entire lecture and have no idea what's going on. I look over to Starr hoping she knew what was happening but she had a head phone in her ear and when I look down at her phone I realize she was just listening to kazuha voice lines the whole time.
I walk over to Midoriya who I know he was probably intently listened he whole time. "heeeeyyyyy Izuku..."
Before I can finish he already responds with "I'm guessing you weren't paying attention when Midnight was explaining the challenge." He said with a sigh.
"How did you know did you get another quirk or something." I asked.
"No it's just every time you say "Heeeeeeyyyyyy Izuku" it's because you need something." He answered.
"Ok you may have a small point anyways could you just give me the run down." I ask.
"Ok so basically we're getting in teams of 2-4 and the higher rank you got last round the more points you have this round. So in the teams one person gets carried and has a headband that is worth the point of all the teammates combined. We have 15 minutes. Anyways do you wanna join my team."
"Of course..... not" I reply.
"Sorry Midoriya but your like really reckless so I'm not risking it." I tell him as I walk away.
I walk over to Starr who had already recruited Shinso. As I stand with the team I see Ojiro and say "OJIRO COME JOIN US!!"
"That sounds great but you already have four people so I'm just gonna find another team." He awkwardly say.
Confused I look for the fourth person started to see the embodiment of sparkle Aoyama who Starr apparently already recruited.
"So what's our pla-" Shinso begins before being interrupted by Starr.
"Ok so whoever has Midoriyas Head Band will win so we just have to wait until the very when he's worn out and surrounded, then I fix my arm posture extending it to grab his Head Band" She says.
"Starr I don't think arms have posture." I try to explain.
"Of course they do shut up." She responds. I just shake my head.
"I think it's simple enough that it's flexible and it works out pretty well since even if we fail I think we have enough points to still make it to the next round." Shinso agrees "well I mean other than the arm extending."
I look over to Dekus team and it has The brown haired girl that I've seen around, the support student I saw earlier and..... FUCKING DEMON SUMMONING BIRD MAN. "Listen you guys there's a person on dekus team that can literally summon a bird demon so like why don't we go for another team, like I don't know Bakugou or Todoroki." I comment.
"But Ally if we don't take Izukus head band Bakugou will get and win sense Izuku will probably just hand it to him because he's a pick me." Starr declared
I try to think of a response but Starr has a pretty good point, Izuku can be a bit of a pick me when it comes to Bakugou. I still don't wanna fight demon summoning dude though.
"Also I'm gonna be the rider because I'm so tall no one will be able to reach the head band." Starr adds.
"Wait I wanna be the rider." Barney objects
While they debate who the rider should be I walk over to Aoyama. "Hey Aoyama how's it going."
"Bonjour I'm doing magnificent and you." He responds.
"I'm fine just a little dead inside." I respond.
Before we can continue the alarm sounds meaning we're out of time for choosing teams.
Before we get into position I see Todoroki looking very emo at the crowd, weirdo.
We all get positioned, Aoyama at the front me and Shinso at the sides and Starr right on top, how she managed to convince Shinso that she should ride on top I'll never know. Right before the match began Starr fixed her posture and grew a whole 3 inches making her taller than the rest of the riders. Everyone gasped and most of our classmates were pretty confused.
As soon as Midnight gave the word Starr led us towards Bakugou to steal his Headband. As we aproach I hear tape elbows shout to Bakugou "There someone coming!" but Bakuhoe only responded with "We don't need to worry about those damn extras as long as we get that nerds headband."
Right before Bakugou launch at Midoriya who was some how floating in the air Starr came up behind him snatching his head band, though I'm surprised his hair didn't stab her. Bakugou attacks Izuku mid air and is barely thwarted by bird man. Bird man's power of summoning demons shouldn't be underestimated. I shake my head.
As Bakugou ascends back down not so gracefully Starr begins singing "~wenomechainsama~" which roughly translates to "~when I met you in the summer"
As Bakugou looks down in dismay Present mic could be heard on the speaker "Hold on here this is an unexpected turn Team Bakugou suddenly got caught of gaurd and their head band got stolen by Team Isekai"
As Starr waved Bakugous headband tauntingly another team came behind us. I looked over trying to see who it was just to find some extras. He tried to grab Starrs band only to be blocked by Aoyama. We all turned around to face the new opponent. He began to monologue "your quick I'll admit it but you lack proper strategy or future planning, typical considering your students class 1-A who harbor critical thinking skills far below class 1-B"
Starr responded with "I know right, the rest of my class is full of idiots." She said as she rolled her eyes.
Monoma paused in astonishment probably because he was surprised she agreed with him. While Monoma was caught off guard we charged toward Izuku. I peeked behind us seeing Bakugou lunging at Monoma, I can only assume the dog like boys set each other off with their barking. Before we can get to Deku Todoroki creates a big ass ice barrier but Starr just shifts the ice creating a path for us. We see Todoroki snatch Dekus headband. He looked back at Iida and Todoroki like they broke his Allmight figurine's and I get a flashback to the time I accidentally ripped his Allmid poster, this isn't gonna go well. Deku charges Todoroki making him SOME HOW SUMMON ANOTHER QUIRK AND SHOOT FIRE OUT HIS ARM. What the fuck is up with people getting quirks. We're up next also charging Todoroki to get one of his headbands. At the same time deku and Bakugou who came out of fucking now where also charge Todoroki. We come from behind getting electrocuted by Kaminari but Starr, who is unaffected by electricity because she stuck many forks in outlets as a child, grabs one of Todorokis Headbands just before the time runs out.
I look over to the other teams seeing Midoriya look defeated and Bakugou banging the ground like a child, couldn't be me. Over the announcements we hear present mic announce the results "In first place Team Isekai, in second place Team Todoroki, in third place Team Bakugou, and in fourth place Team Midoriya. These 4 valiant teams will advance on to the final round!"
I look over to Midoriya crying a whole ass river. Me and the rest of the team take a moment to relax after the tiring round.
