18. a not so boring valentines day

AUTHOR'S POV

SunHee had been distancing herself from her friends for the past 2 weeks.
She couldn't face Sunoo because of their fight.
She couldn't face Mi Young because Sunoo likes her.
She didn't know what was going on with that.
She was not jealous, she was just mad.
She couldn't face Sunghoon because of his confession.
And lastly she didn't want to face the boys. Imagine how awkward the atmosphere would be even though they didn't know anything.
She just wanted to be alone, so during the breaks she was hiding in the library.
No one could find her there as she wasn't famous for her nerdy personality.
You see, SunHee didn't like reading books that much.
She thought that reading books is basicslly a waste of time since you hardly ever learn something from them.

It was time for lunch break so SunHee went to hide in the library, again.
She looked at the calendar that was hung on the wall.

February 14th.

Valentine's day.

The day she despised the most.
There is no point in celebrating Valentine's day for her.
It's just an ordinary day.
When ordinary people confess to the people they like.
Nothing special.

As she was sitting on the chair, her phone screen lit up meaning that someone sent her a message.
She quickly grabbed her phone and she was surprised to see that Sunghoon had texted her.

Hey, can we meet at the football field in 2 mins?

She quickly grabbed her jacket and went out.
When she arrived at the football field she saw Sunghoon murmuring some words nervously and walking around with his hands behind his back.
When he saw her he became even more nervous but he managed to hide it by putting a big smile on his face.

"Hey!" He said and hugged SunHee tightly.

Yeah I mean that's normal, they haven't sewn each other for 2 weeks.

"Hello" SunHee said and broke the hug.

SUNHEE'S POV

"Hello" I said with a smile and broke the hug.
"Where have you been hiding and why?" He asked me concerned.

Oh what do i say?

"Uh it's nothing don't worry, I-I am usually helping the teachers c-clean the classrooms and stuff"

Im proud of myself, that was a good lie actually, i slayed.

"Oh okay..." he seemed to believe it and I mentally jumped from happiness.
"So...I have to tell you something...I know we have already confessed to each ither but since it's Valentines day, I would like to confess to you more properly if you get what I mean" he said and scratched the back of his neck.

Fuck, I knew it.

"So, I actually started having a crush on you this year when we started getting closer and you would always hang out with me and the others. You are such a beautiful and caring girl and that's why I like you, because you are you. You like helping others and you are always hapoy even though bad things have happened to your life that can affect your personality a lot... I really like you SunHee"

"I really like you too Sunghoon" I said these words that weren't coming from my mind but from my heart.

I didn't want to say this but here we are...

"Really?" Sunghoon's eyes lit up and he flashed a smile at me.
I smiled at him too but soon my mouth formed into an "O" shape after I felt him kissing my cheek.

Then, the bell rang meaning that it's time for class again.....
