"Hello Jay," He said

"Hello Jay," He said. He was smiling. He was alone at that time with a bucket and a list to remember what to buy. "Hello" I greeted him back. "Are you on grocery shopping too?" He asked. He is really dumb, I thought. Cant, you see my bucket full of groceries? I gave out a scoff and said yes.

"Great. My mom sends me out for grocery shopping too. It's a bit irritating when it is only me and not my sister, but at least I help her you know" He said looking down at his checklist. "Well I don't live with my mom nor my dad, so I, on my own decided to do the grocery" He quickly looked up a bit surprised. "Oh. Yeah, I see. Well I'm sorry"

He apologized. What does he think, that's going to help? "Nah it's fine mate. After all, I'm much better without them" I smiled. He looked at me like he had an idea for something. "Hey, Jay. I know you may be the new student in our class and I do not know you that well. How about we order a drink and get to know each other, after this?"

He asked. Not going to lie that was really sweet of him. Even though I already find him a little weird, I think he could still be a very good friend. Without hesitation, I agreed and we continued our grocery shopping together.

"Alright, Jay. Let me call my mom and say I will come home later. So you can just order whatever you want" He said and turned around with his phone. I nodded and went up to the cashier as I ordered strawberry milk and banana milk.

I went to the table where our bags filled with groceries, were sitting. I sat down and quietly waited for Jungwon and our drinks. A moment later I felt a hand touching my shoulder. It was Jungwon. He giggled and sat in front of me. "I hope you didn't order anything expensive. I might not have the actual money to pay you back" He jokingly said.

"Ey come on you are the president. You must be the one who carries all the money" I hopped in. We laughed way too much. We drank our milk and talked about a bunch of things. Turns out we had a lot in common. "Jay I'm happy you transferred to our school. Meeting new people like you is a big task. But with you I am at ease" He said letting out a soft smile.

What the fuck. How did a monster like me turn into a nice person all of sudden? Oh, and I hope I am not blushing. Or wait, am I? "U-uh, thank you Jungwon. You seem like a person to get along with and tell you everything like a diary" I said. I really said that.

DON'T RUSH JAY! He giggled. He was cute. I actually liked him. But hopefully as a friend. I really don't want to hurt him. He's too lovely. "HAHA Jay Hyung. You're flirting with me?" Jay Hyung!? He called me that!? Also, me flirting? No way. "Ah okay, Jungwon. I love when you are being sarcastic" I sarcastically said.

Some moments later I checked my phone as I needed to head home and put the groceries in their places. It wasn't that late but I had to do some homework as well. "It's getting late. I have to head home Jungwon. It was nice to hang out with you!" I stood up as he followed my steps. "Sure Jay, anytime. See you tomorrow!" He said and waved goodbye.
