Chapter 12

"Ben come on! It's been a week and you're still mad about the situation?"

"Yes Miranda! What if something would have happened to you baby? I wouldn't have been around" Ben said looking at her

"Ben, just let it go" Miranda said grabbing her things

"Where are you going? I thought we was gonna watch a movie?" Ben said looking at Miranda get her things together

"Yeah we were, but I have to go Jackie texted me about some meeting I have to get to" she said dryly

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I'm just not in the mood"

"It's because of me? You're not in the mood because I care about you?"

"Bye, Ben" she walked out over the whole situation

"Miranda, girl why do you have to act like that?" Callie asked laying in her bed beside Miranda

"Like what?"

"Like that! You know Ben only wants to protect you and make sure you're okay girl! Don't give him a hard time for that" Callie said looking at her phone

"I didn't want to come off as ungrateful it's just weird you know all the stuff I've been through with Tucker, he never did anything like that"

"True but be more open minded about things..you know it's a good thing Ben cares about you the way he does"

"You think I should apologize?"

"No, duhh" Callie said laughing "now get out my room, I'm going to sleep" Callie said getting under her covers

"Well damn just kick me out"

"I just did, I love you" Callie laughed while Miranda got up and rolled her eyes while walking out of the door.

Going to her room Miranda laid across her bed, picked up her phone and called Ben. Not getting an answer she tried again when she didn't get an answer, she grabbed her keys and was off to Ben's job.

"Hey Miranda" Kacie said walking up to the register

"Hey, is Ben here?"

"No, he didn't show today he called and said he wasn't coming in"

"Did he say why?"

"No, I'm sorry he didn't. Was that all I have a customer waiting for me"

"Uh..yeah that's all I'll see you another time" Miranda smiled and walked out, getting to her car she got in and tried to call Ben one more time, and again not getting an answer she drove to his house.

"Why haven't you been answering my calls? I was getting worried" Miranda said walking into his apartment after he opened the door

"What's wrong?" Miranda asked

"Nothing" he simply answered, but Miranda knew he was lying even though they have been dating for a short period of time she knew when he was lying and he knew when she was.

"Is it still that whole Tucker and Dante mess?"

"Maybe. Maybe not" he shrugged

"Baby, please just drop it. It really wasn't that bad or serious, Tucker was drunk and Dante was there to help me with him you should be happy someone was there for me"

"I would be happier if it was me there for you not Dante, baby"

"Ben"

"I'm your boyfriend not him, you could have told me about the Tucker mess" Ben said walking to his room
