Chapter 15

    

"Baby girl your song is slowly finding its way to the top of the chats!" Dante said

"Really?"

"Yes! You are already number five baby in only 2 weeks" he said kissing her cheek

"I think this calls for a celebration" Dante said popping up out his seat

"Dante everything doesn't need to be celebrated" Miranda sighed

Let's go to Pinks! It'll be fun" he said trying to get her to say yes

After a while Miranda agreed and sent out a text to her group chat about the club and why they are going.

"Okay, I'm going home" Miranda said

"But we still have to lay this verse down"

"I need to get some type of sleep we'll do it tomorrow, I'm gone" Miranda said packing up her things and leaving while Dante and Ej stayed at the studio working on some of his music.

Miranda grew hungry on the way home so she told Rico to stop at a place she hasn't been to in years.

"Hello! Are we dining in or take out?" The cashier asked

"Take out"

Miranda ordered her food and waited for it

"Omg Miranda, hey!" She looked up and saw one of Ben's friends

"Hey! How are you? I didn't even know you still worked here" Miranda stood up and gave the lady a hug

"I'm good, and yeah just a little side job now, but I gotta get back it was nice seeing you" the lady said about to walk out

"Hey Kacie, I was wondering if you'd seen or heard from Ben?" Miranda asked

"I haven't seen him since he quit, but I did talk to him a while back"

"Yeah?"

"Mmhm, he owns a shop now off Jackson Street"Kacie remembered

"Ma'am your food" the cashier told Miranda

"Thank you, and thank you Kacie I hope to see you around" Miranda said taking the food and walking out.

"Hey Rico, can you drop me off to A2 and don't tell Dante" Miranda said

"I got you boss lady" Rico replied as he made a sharp turn going into the direction of Miranda's second apartment. She goes there when she wants more alone time and someplace she knows Dante won't find her.

Pulling up to the apartments Rico parked and got out to let Miranda out

"Thanks, see you later" she said to her driver.

While in bed Miranda looked up new shops and businesses that had opened up off of Jackson Street trying to find Ben's place.

"I think I found it" she said out loud as she was looking at a new barbershop called 'B's Cutz'

"This has to be it" she said looking more into the shops website, she giggled when she saw a picture of Ben cutting someone's hair

Staring at the picture Miranda already had a plan to take a trip down to the shop just to see and try to talk to him.

The next morning Miranda got dressed and headed to Ben's shop.

"Rico can you please stop me to the house to get my car? I'll be driving myself today"

"Uhhh , you sure boss lady? I know Dante wouldn't like that" Rico said looking at her through the mirror

"I'm positive, I can handle myself you let me worry about him. You enjoy the rest of your day off" Miranda said

"Yes ma'am"Rico said as he was getting closer to her house

While in the car Miranda got nervous as she punched in the address to Ben's place

"Ohh I hope I'm doing the right thing" she sighed

Pulling up to the shop, she saw how busy they were, as her heart beat started to race she pulled onto the door and opened it.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but we can't take walk-ins at the moment" one of the barbers said

"Oh no, I'm just looking for the owner" she nervously smiled

"Hey I know you!!! You're that singer Mandy! Yo my girl got all ya albums!" The barber smiled

"Tell her I said thanks for the support, and here are some extra tickets for my upcoming show" Miranda said reaching into her purse and handing him the tickets

"Yooooo, you legit for real!! Ben in the back right through there on the left"

Walking down the hall Miranda looked to the left and knocked on the door

"Come in" she smiled when she heard his voice

"Knock knock" Miranda said walking in and shutting the door behind her.
