"Jamie and Sam. Oliver and Natalie. Steve and..." The teacher drew out the "and" as if something was missing and just as she was about to talk again, someone came running through the door with a loud crash.

Bucky.
The guy who's name is James but everyone knows as Bucky. The school's most famous football player. The walking heartthrob and also the messy haired brunet standing at the door.

"Bucky you're late, again." The woman said, putting her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, I'd actually be on time for once if your lessons were interesting." The class erupted with "ooooooo's" and laughter.

"Enough! Sit next to Steve, you're his partner for this project." She grumbled. "And detention after school."

Bucky just chuckled and dragged himself over to his new desk which was occupied by the endless amount of art supplies that Steve was vigorously trying to pick up.

"You need help with that?" Buck questioned, dropping his things on the floor only for Steve to completely ignore him. Once his chair was clear, he took a seat, looking over to the stone faced small blond next to him.

"What's up with you?" Bucky asked, arms playing support for his head that was now laying on the table. He was curious, he'd seen the small boy around school every now and then, but he had never actually seen him with anyone else. He could have sworn he saw a small haze of sadness cross over the boy's face but he brushed off the thought after he earned a glare from his sky like eyes.

"Okay class, this semester's project is simple. You need to create a portrait of your partner showing use of tone and texture. Any questions?" Ms. Carter looked around as she waited for a response. "No one? Okay, get on with it then." She offered a smile and sat down on her wheely chair.

Steve, without a word, took out his notepad along with a HB pencil and turned to Bucky, studying his face for a second with squinted eyes. Then he started to scribble down what looked like nonsense to Bucky. Some lines, some circles, some more lines snd then boom, the basic outline of Bucky was on his piece of paper.

"Woah." The brunet gently took the notebook from his tiny hands, taking every single bit of it in.

"Mine's gonna look like bullshit if this is yours." Bucky said, holding the book up next to his face.

"Hello me." He waved to the book with a smile and for once Steve actually looked amused. The brunet loved how the skin around his eyes crinkled when his pink lips lifted into a life saving smile, his blond hair brushing just over his bushy dark eyebrows. After a while, he realised he was staring and looked away quickly, his cheeks becoming rosy red and in a panic, he flipped the page without thinking.

"Wait!" It was the first time Bucky had heard his voice but he was too busy being distracted by what he landed on to realise. In front of him lay what looked like a sketch of a nude person. The nude person being Steve himself. Though he couldn't look at it for long because Steve had snatched the book from his hands in an instant. For the next minute or two it was just an awkward silence, neither of them daring to speak as they were both too scared of embarrassment.

"I uh.. Sorry I-" Bucky struggled for the first time in forever, it felt so unnatural for him, but he was cut of by a very loud sigh.

"It's fine, it was just coursework anyways. People were bound to see it." Steve slumped over, blowing a hair from his face. "Anyways, if we carry on like this we'll never get this project done."

Bucky was surprised. Very surprised.

"Right. You're the professional, tell me where to start." The brunet remarked, earning a chuckled scoff from the other male. Steve flipped his book back over, accidentally showing off the rough sketch of a nude body and for some reason Bucky couldn't keep his eyes off of it. He knew he was straight so why did the boy attract his eyes so much.

The curve of his slim shoulders, the way his pointy nose complemented his sharp cheekbones along with his chiseled jawline as he peered over his shoulder, small yet confident. The way the American flag linked from one shoulder to his small waist, fitting loosely over his bottom half, leaving Bucky to only imagine how cute he'd look sitting back on his feet like that.

"So what you wanna do is draw a circle, always start with a circle, it helps trust me." Steve started to draw underneath the small sketch that had been distracting Bucky this whole time.

"Mhmm." The brunet hummed staring down the side of Steve's face.

"Then you're gonna draw your perspective line, which shows you where your sketch is looking or facing." Bucky still hadn't taken his eyes off of the boy but he just pretended like he was listening, Steve looked too attractive, especially when he was so concentrated. His eyebrows were slightly knitted and his bottom lip was pushed into his mouth. As Bucky's eyes trailed around all of Steve's face, his focus stayed on the smaller's lips. So pink. So pretty. So plump. The world was definitely lying to him when they said there was no such thing as perfect.

The brunet's mind scrambled. He was straight, or was he? Was it hormones? Usually he was the one having all the girls swindle over him and now this boy who he had never met before was making Bucky, the school heartthrob, put those girls' swindling to shame... Wow.

"BUCKY!" Steve called, squeezing an eek out of the brunet.

"What happened? You just zoned all of a sudden." The blond tucked some unruly hair behind his ear before returning his concerned gaze back to Bucky.

"Uh, nothing.. just thinking." Bucky scratched his neck, pushing his lips to a thin line.

"Alright then." He said hesitantly, clearly he didn't believe him. "Well it's your turn to draw so.."

"Oh, right." The distant brunet picked up his pencil, following the rules he heard Steve telling him.

"Like this?" He got stuck on the perspective line, not knowing how and where to draw it.

"Like this." Steve grabbed his hand, guiding it in the direction it was meant to go and all Bucky could do was watch, watch the blond's hand on his and feel the warm skin on his, loving the spark it sent through his hand. The brunet's face flushed red.

"O-oh." He simply stated, drawing the line a bit too roughly but Steve didn't say a word nor did he remove his hand as he continued to guide the boy.

"Look. You did it!" Bucky was scared from his daze as Steve exclaimed. But then he also scared himself when he looked down at what he had created. It was so good that it almost looked like one of Steve's drawings and Steve's drawings were the best you could get. At least that's what Bucky thought.

"Oh my, I fuckin' did it." The brunet said.

"Hey, watch your language!" Steve scolded him and Bucky just smiled.

Maybe he could get used to this weird feeling.
