"Why?" That was all Hope had in her mind. Why? "Why did you kill them?"

"Isn't it obvious? For fun!" laughed Ena. Her laughed was demonic. "I just love seeing all of you suffer."

"So ... their deaths are not fated?" tears dried upon her cheeks.

"Not really. That very day you introduce me to them, that was when their deaths were destined," said Ena. "I decide their death."

"You're evil," said Hope. Ena laughed.

"I know I am," she said. "Want to know what happened to them in more detail?" Hope stayed silent. There was part of her that wants to know the true tragedy and part of her wanted to just go home.

"I'll take the silence as a yes," said Ena as she circled around Hope. "Who should I start first? ... ah .... yes. Maya. What about we start with the first one to fall?

"You remember right? All of us ... on a vacation. Took a ferry," started Ena.

"You killed Maya. Was the entire accident your fault? Was it you who made the ferry sink?" asked Hope.

"To be honest, the ferry sinking was never my fault. I was also in shock. I had a different idea. ... but the door being locked ... that was on me," said Ena as she stopped circling. "I had an idea to bring down everyone. I was about to start a fire when the ferry started sinking."

"Wow ... I don't know which one is worst," said Hope lifting her head to see Ena. "You deciding to take advantage of the situation or your initial plan to kill all of us."

"Whatever it is ... I didn't expect the ferry to sink. Of course, when the room started to fill, I got a brand new idea ... why not take each of you out slowly," Ena began circling around Hope again. "Nobody noticed of course. Everyone was in a panic. So I made Maya get tangled up. Luggage just appeared out of nowhere. Tied to her ... weighing her down."

"You know ... if she hadn't chosen to give up ... she could still survive," said Hope.

"I know ... but that is where you are wrong. She's the kind who easily gives up. That was the advantage. She was in her most vulnerable and then she gave up. Letting her own life be taken. I must say ... it was satisfying to watch her body sink down and drown."

"You're crazy!" shouted Hope.

"Am I?" Ena looked at Hope. "Killing Ember was a special one. The fire engulfed her house ... yea that was on me. I started the fire. It's no ordinary fire. It's magic. A spell to which the fire would chase her anyway.

"Of course, it was hard to watch. I didn't get a clear view ... but hey ... it was also satisfying. Watching her own house burn to the ground. Of course ... if it wasn't because I was a witch ... I would have gone in and see her burn to death myself."

"Witches can't be near fire?" asked Hope. She had an idea creeping into her mind.

"We can but ... it's not that safe. We could be burnt ... the only way we die."

"So you're immortal?"

"Yea ... but I'm still around your age," said Ena." Now ... where was I? Ah yes ... Ember ... her name does match her death." Ena laughed darkly. Hope only stayed silent. The idea in her mind was taking a form. She had a plan.

"Mallory ... sweet Mallory ...," said Ena bringing back Hope's attention. "A car accident ... why do you think they can't find the car?"

"Because you created it?" answered Hope.

"You're smart. Yes ... I pulled the car out of thin air. Set it to crash into Mallory. Enough to kill her. And trust me ...it was fun. It was like watching bowling ... except it's not a bowling ball and pins but a car and a sweet young Mallory."

"Why do you do all this?"

"As I said ... for the fun," said Ena with a creepy smile plastered on her face.

"If you like to do all this ... why haven't you kill me?" asked Hope. "Why am I the only one left?"

"Ah ... yes ... you," started Ena. She inched closer to Hope. She stood very close to Hope. "You're special. You're different."

"How so?" asked Hope.

"Let's see ... I don't know actually ha!" Ena burst out laughing. "I guess you are just lucky!"

Hope only watched as Ena laughed out loud. It took a few minutes before Ena stopped and walked back. "I'm sorry for that. It was just hilarious. Now ... about you ... I needed someone who was willing to save their friends ... you were the most affected.

"So I thought ... why not Hope? She wanted to save them. Alright I'll make her last," smiled Ena. "Also ... I was running out of ideas ... I'm not sure how to kill you. So ... you're lucky. But ... I guess I made you suffer emotionally."

"You're a monster," said Hope. "If anyone should be dead ... it should be you."

"Like you can kill me," said Ena. "As I said ... the only way to kill me ... is with fire."

"I know," said Hope. She looked at Ena with a poker face. "Fire. You're biggest fear." A smirk came on her face. Without a single hesitation. Hope bolted out of the alley. She looked back hoping to see no one but was caught of guard when she saw Ena running after her.

'She couldn't do magic here ... there's too many people in broad daylight,' she thought to herself. Unfortunately, she was wrong. Ena was daring. Ena started chanting spells and casting it on Hope.

Hope was lucky to dodge a few of it. Her legs kept on running pass by people. Some of them becoming victims to Ena's spell. Eventually, her legs became tired and she suddenly felt as though her body was wrapped by something. Hope looked behind and saw Ena who was now walking. Her hand was stretched out and looked as though it was pulling something.

Hope felt her body being pulled behind. She was being pulled closer and closer to Ena. "Nowhere to run Hope," said Ena. "You can't escape me."

Hope tried to break free but failed. "It's useless to try and fight. I am more powerful. You can't possibly think you can kill me now."

"You're right ... I'm a fool," said Hope. "But ... just like you said ... I can't kill you now ... but I can kill you ... in the past." Hope's hands were able to set the date and time on the watch. Ena was about to cast a spell to stop the watch but it was too late.

Hope managed to press the start button. As usually, she felt the feeling of her body being thrown backwards. She was falling and for the first time she was happy. Hope felt herself aged backwards with each passage of glass.

Her mind was focused on one thing. Killing young Ena. Killing her on the day she would introduce her to Maya, Mallory and Ember. In return, she hoped only one thing, to save her friends and end the torment that would happen later.

With the final glass she crashed through, Hope thought of one last thing.

'This is it ... I will finally save them all ... permanently.'
