Chapter 45

"Sunoo hurry up we're going now!", Heejin screamed from downstairs. After a few minutes of waiting, he finally came downstairs.

"Aigoo, what took you so long? Mr. Kim, you stay here with Sunmi unnie okay? Do you want me to buy anything for you?", Heejin said while busy packing her handbag.

"Sure", Mr. Kim answered.

"Okay, I'll buy you and Sunmi some foods", Heejin said.

Mr. Kim nodded as response and walk to his room.

"Sunoo?", Heejin called him when she realised that he's zoning out again for no reason.

"Stop zoning out. Do you have something on your mind?", she asked and Sunoo just shook his head.

"Okay then....let's go, I called an uber and they will arrive in any minute", she said while wearing her pinkish metal watch.

Both of them walk out from the house as Heejin closed the door. Heejin still didn't notice how weird Sunoo's behaviour is. His heart is still broken and no one can fix it except her.

FLASHBACK

Author pov

"Late? Late for what?", Sunmi questioned and raised one eyebrow, having no idea what is he talking about.

"S-she.....she.....she likes someone else...", Sunoo said and cried even harder. He managed to control it at first but his heart couldn't.

"Who? Heejin? Are you serious?", she covered her mouth as he slightly nod.

"She likes her boss....", Sunoo said between sobs. She couldn't see her brother hurting like this....

She was so speechless.

"Sunoo...hey look at me", Sunmi lift his head up as Sunoo wipes his tears.

"If she likes her, does the guy likes her back?", she asked.

Sunoo kept silence for a few seconds before began to spoke.

"It's possible.....I can clearly see that her boss is treating her more than a friend..."

"Maybe he's just being friendly, Sunoo if someone's being so close to someone, that doesn't mean they like each other"

"What if it is?"

Sunmi let out a heavy sigh and held both of his shoulders.

"Sunoo hear me out, you still have a chance to win her heart. I know you're better than that guy. You know how much you sacrifice for her right? Does she even realise that?"

"Please don't be sad, you still have more time with her, and don't waste it. Make her yours, one day she will realise how much she actually loves you"

Sunoo didn't let out any words from his mouth and still sobbing. He slowly looks at Sunmi before giving her a tight hug which makes her flinch a bit. He would really need a hug so she hugs him back while caressing his hair.

"Thank you Noona....you're the best for making me feel better", Sunoo said.

"Of course, that's what siblings for right?", Sunmi chuckled and rested her head on his shoulder.

END OF FLASHBACK

Heejin and Sunoo had arrived at her old house to pick up grandma to go to the hospital for her appointment. While on their way to the hospital, Heejin had a small talk with grandma while Sunoo just sat there staring out the window.

"Heejin-ah, I'm so happy....", grandma spoke.

"Wow, what makes you so happy?", Heejin asked while holding both of her hands.

"I dreamed about your grandpa, that's what I wished for a long time.....", granma said making Heejin's heart softens.

Sunoo is eavesdropping their conversations.

"Really? I'm so happy for you grandma!"

"Today is the best day of my life.....I really miss him...", grandma said while looking down.

"I miss him too....he's waiting for us up there right?", Heejin said and pulled her into a tight hug.

Timeskip....

Sunoo and Heejin are waiting for grandma at the waiting area. It was a total silence, Sunoo didn't even spoke since what happened. Suddenly someone came...

"Hi noona, do you remember us?", a boy came with a girl on a wheelchair.

"Oh! Naeun! Hi of course I remember you both", Heejin's face brightens as the boy began to translate it to her sister.

Heejin looks at Sunoo as they make and eye contact. Sunoo smiled and came closer to Naeun.

"Hi Naeun", he waved as Naeun waved back.

"Noona, hyung I want to tell you something", the boy spoke.

"What is it?", Heejin asked.

"Her cancer is....getting more worse....", the boy said as Heejin and Sunoo gasped in unison.

"Oh no....what stage?", Heejin asked.

"Stage 3....", the boy replied and looks down. Heejin covers her mouth and feel really bad.

"Is she going to die? I don't want her to die...I love her", the boy said and hugged the girl's wheelchair. Heejin almost cried hearing those hurtful words coming out from his mouth.

Naeun confusedly ask her brother abiut what they're talking about. But her brother hide his tears and said that everything's okay.

Heejin couldn't help it, she really wants to help the poor kid.

Without any hesitation, she pulls Sunoo towards somewhere. Sunoo looks at her confused.

"I want a wish"
