What were they doing here? I wonder what they did. It could of been anything really.
Just then I heard a voice trying to talk to me. I snapped out of my daze.
" sorry, what was that you just said?" I asked feeling embarrassed.
" you will have to follow me." Officer Doytel said.
" ok" I stood up and went down a long hallway. We turned down many different
hallways leading off of the main one even farther. My stomach had butterflies in it. I
was nervous. Finally the moment I dreaded came. Officer Doytel stopped in front of a
door.
" ok you can step inside here. You will just have to say everything that happened with
you and Cody. Be honest please." He exclaimed.
I stepped inside the small room. Their was a table with handcuffs attached to it, two
chairs on opposite sides of the table, and a small door on the other side of the room. I
sat down just before another cop entered the room.
" hello sweetie, I'm Sargent Moin. Can you tell me everything that happened."
"Well-" I told him the whole story for the second time today. When I finished, he looked
just the same as he did when he entered the room.
" ok, I understand. Listen, the reason we brought you here, is when we tried this once
before with two boys, they became best friends when they got back to their foster
home." Sargent Moin explained. " I have know Cody since he was a child, he really is a
sweet kid."
" hahahaha, Cody.....sweet. No way. Your lying. He's a devil." I sassed back.
" you don't know what he's been through. A way lot more than you darlin."
" really?" I asked.
" yep. Mabye you can ask him when your in the cabin alone with him." He said standing
up. " follow me" I followed him to the small door he came through. He brought me to a
changing room, so I could change out of my bloody clothes. He handed me a pair of
cream shorts and a light blue T- shirt with a purple butterfly on the front of it. I changed
into them and they fit nicely. I gave him my old clothes when I stepped out of my room.
We went out to the back parking lot and I got put in the back of a cop car. We drove for
30 minutes before coming upon tall gates. We went through them and kept driving. We
drove for about an hour through woods until we came upon a small log cabin with a
nice deck facing a big pond. I could tell their was a fence around us because why else
would we go through gates, and they don't want us running away. Their was already
new clothes put in my closet for me. They supplied us with microwaveable and other
stuff that doesn't go in the oven food, Along with a griddle Sargent Moin told me.
" ok. You can go inside now. Cody won't be their right away. He had to go to the medical
center. Bye. Don't kill one another!" He said when I stepped out of the car, and drove
off. I was all alone. For awhile anyway. I went up the steps into the cabin. I took off my
shoes. I spent the whole afternoon exploring the area. I went to the pond, in the woods,
and then I came back to eat supper. I was starving. I went to the pantry and took out a
Velveta macaroni cup. I put water in it and put it in the microwave for 3:00. I went to
my room and looked around. Their was a queen size bed with a walk in closet. Their was
a window,a rug, a nightstand with a lamp, and a bathroom. I left when I heard the beep
of the microwave. I stirred in the cheese and sat down on the couch. I devoured that I
thought when I was already throwing the empty cup away. Then I heard the front doors
open. Dang. He's here. I heard two voices talking to each other.
" ok so you have our numbers if you need us, and everything else is here." A male voice
said. " and please don't kill her." The door slammed shut. I expected Cody to run in here
and start screaming at me when I heard it. I sound that crutches make.
