CHAPTER XI

Lilith POV

"Here" I hear from behind a husky voice.

I turn around and see a young man with a shaved head wearing a black suit and diamond earrings.

He bows his head and offers his hand that rings are decorating it I take it and firmly shake it. "Nathan Henderson" he introduces himself

"How can I help you," he asks

"I want you to assemble a meeting that at 10 am," I tell him

"Yes ma'am"

"Did you take our luggage to our rooms"

"Yes ma'am"

"Very well, goodnight mister Henderson," I say passing by him and heading to the door, and grabbing Kazimir from behind so he won't steal the hot dog sandwich that was on the table.

"But I am hungry" he whines

"Well me too but we are going to the kitchen," I say still dragging him "really" he replies excitedly

"Alexei, you're coming?" I ask him

"Yeah," he agrees to catch upon us "to the kitchen," Kazimir says loudly running to the hallway on the left.

"wrong way" I shout at him and he runs the other way. We arrived at the kitchen. There are two kitchens one is where the maids and chefs make the food and it's very crowded during the day the other one is where the soldiers want to make their food and it's rather empty

"What to eat," he says opening the fridge.
I close the door in his face "you are not cooking" I tell him

"what! Why?" He says and he looks offended.

"Because the last you cooked something I got food poisoning" I scold

"How would I know that the chicken went bad" he defends

"It smelled like a rhino's fart" 
I scold him and scoff in response.

He slides on the marble chair and pulls out his phone.
I sigh and then I see Alexei just standing in the corner "What about you?" I ask "can you cook"

"No, but I can chop,"  he says having small steps toward me
"I can work with that," I say rolling my sleeves.

well, I am not a great cook myself I went from not knowing how to boil an egg to cooking a lot of recipes. living alone does have its pros and cons.

Alexei POV

We start cooking. Well, she starts cooking I just stand there waiting for her to order me to do something. I just watch her as she takes out the ingredients.

God that's my sister over there. How much have I wished to have a sister or a brother? But she doesn't look well like something has broken her I noticed in our first meeting the scar is around her neck that the jacket missed covering.

Then I turn my head and look at Kazmir I don't know who is he to her. I think he is not a boyfriend but when I saw him cuddling her on the couch earlier it made me second doubt myself. Maybe he is gay or bi.
Well there is only one way to find out

I slid next to him on the marble chair. I clear my throat to grab his attention he brings his head from the phone.

"So you and Lilith how long have you guys been dating?" I ask. his eyes widen and he raises an eyebrow "we are not dating" he says.

"Oh, really I thought you two are a thing you know because I saw you cuddling the other day" I act surprised.

"Don't act surprised at me"

"W...what?"
"Look, if you are curious about Hella you should ask her yourself"

"Pfft ask her myself, funny" I scoff and he looks at me with a bored look and I turn and look at Lilith. Her back is facing us.

"How long have you known her," I ask still facing forward "for like 22 years" he answers "but still if you want to know something about her you ask her. I don't know her well"

"But you jus-"

"No" he cuts me off

"No, I don't know her well. I mean now I don't. she wasn't always like this. believe me, since she started training she..... she changed" he says sternly.

"I understand," I say nodding. I remember when I talk to her I kinda see a faint just a faint sign of sorrow and pain in those blue orbs but it is always replaced with the cold look.

"I just wanna help you know," he says looking at his old friend. "But she won't let me"

"What do you think made her like this" I question

"Not what but who"
