CHAPTER XVII

Authors POV

suddenly something comes piercing through the glass window Lilith catches it in mid-air. it turns out to be red brick. "Jesus Christ" Kazimir breathed. Alexie's face was white looking in shock at the brick that was about to hit him straight in the head. she slowly moves it away and looks at the window. she sees something

"take cover!" she yells jumping forward at Alexie and hiding behind the table Kazimir follows then thousands of bullets come crushing down the room destroying the chairs and the walls. two figures enter holding machine guns. once they are in the room they stop. they are both the same length they are wearing all black clothes both wearing masks only showing their cold eyes. one of them has a green eye and a blue eye the other has blue-greenish eyes. their combat boots crushing the broken glass is filling the silent room.

"Haben wir es bekommen?" one of them asks "ich weiß nicht " the other answers but they have a more feminine voice.
"Du siehst hinter den Tisch und ich werde der Ausguck sein"
"okay"

Lilith behind the table uses her hand to cover Kazimir's mouth preventing him from making a noise from the pain in his stomach a bullet got through it. she shakes her head and slowly removes her hand then at the same speed she reaches inside her jacket she pulls out a dagger with a leathered handle. she shushes Alexie and slowly crawls to get a better view. then her head pumps in someone and they share eye contact for a brief second before the assassin kicks away her dagger.

she throws the broken glass in their eyes. they groan in pain.

she then kicks them in the stomach making them fall backward with a thud.
"was zum Teufel!"
their partner at the door yells. Lilith jumps on top of the fallen one punching them. before the other one could use their machine gun Alexie appears and hits them with a chair's leg. while Lilith tries to strangle them they reach for the dagger on the ground and stab her in the leg she hisses but her hold doesn't loosen

"come on pass out already" she groans. they stab her again in the thigh and twist it dragging it down but her hold tightens not bothered by the pain when they finally started to pass out but a kick comes to Lilith in the face they reach for their partner and throw them over their shoulder they reached for their gun before they can shoot Lilith someone's shots their gun making it fall from their grasp but before he can shot them. they run out the broken window "follow them don't let them escape" Nathan orders

"oh there is no need for that," says Lilith getting up from the floor and wiping the blood from her nose glaring at him her blue orbs darken "what the fuck took you so long?" she says stepping closer to him tilting her head. "huh? didn't you hear the glass chatter or the fucking hundred bullets that came raining down, I have been strangling that bitch for 15 minutes where were you?" she scolded.

"They planted a bomb in the control room that killed 15 of our men" he declared
"so you mean to tell me they crossed the wall and the security going unnoticed by the cameras and planted a bomb in the control room killing your men. and came all the way here and attacked me like I am fucking Afghanistan." she says glaring at him "you know what. didn't I say 'divide security', scratch that because it seems like it didn't even exist. upgrade the security system Henderson before I upgrade you. From living" she threatens. he clears his throat and replies
"yes, ma'am" he turns around.

before he leaves "and send a doctor to Kazimir's room, will you" she taunts.
"of course" replies leaving without a word more.

She turns around "yo, Kazimir you good down there?" She asks. In response, a hand slowly appears from behind the table with a thumbs up. "Great" she sighs. She feels a hand on her shoulder she turns around quickly pushing away the hand it turns out to be Alexie she is still on high alert from the attack.
I need to get used to him she thought.

"Are you okay?" he questions.
"Yeah I am fine" she shakes it off. She hasn't looked at him yet but as she looked at him she notices blood trailing from his head. she gasps.
"Shit. Are you okay?" She asks looking worried unintentionally.
"It's fine. But are you okay? You are bleeding" he exclaims pointing at the wound on her stomach and thigh that blood has been pouring without her notice. "No, it's fine. Now let's take care of that wound" she says taking his hand and dragging him out of the room

"wait," he says stopping her "what about Kazimir?" He said pointing behind where he lays.
"He is fine" she exclaims calmly. Alexie raises an eyebrow
"augh. Give me a sec" she scoffs and walks down the hallway her step isn't even because of her injury she stops two soldiers

"take Kazimir from the meeting room to his room" she orders them. They look at each other then one of them speaks "who?".

"Go to the meeting room take the guy that is dramatically laying on the floor to room 56" she explains. They nod and run to the meeting room. Alexie walks to her and points in the direction where the soldiers were running "seriously"
"what? You didn't expect me to carry him all the way there. Do you have any idea how much he weighs" she says rolling her eyes and walking away. He chuckles shaking his head and catching at her paise.

They enter her room. And she heads towards the bathroom. "I gonna grab the kit" she declares. Alexi stalls in the room and then sits on the bed when notices a shiny thing on the nightstand he reaches for it and it turns to be a beautiful necklace in an oval shape written on one side the letter A and the other the letter D. It's really beautifully made in golden color and decorated at it's edges. He inspects until he finds a hole in the bottom it looks like a lock he tries to shakes it to hear if it has anything in it but it's empty. Before he tries to open it but a voice came in.

"What are you doing?"
