He was moving fast, and I had to speed walk just to keep up. I tried to keep my breath soft and quiet,  but damn if I wasn't out of shape. He ducked into a tunnel and slid down into the darkness. I did too. Once I was down there though I couldn't see anything. I looked around, but the only light came from above me. My phone was way past dead so I couldn't use that. I tried listening, but it was so quiet.
"......h.....hello?!" I called out. I had no choice but to call for help. "Hello?!"
"Give me a moment " I hear Kurda call back.
After a few more moments of silence I see a light move towards me. As Kurda gets closer his face is slightly illuminated by a candle in his hand.
Before I can say anything he asks me, "do you like spiders?"
  "What?"
"Do you like spiders?" He asks again.
"Yeah, I love spiders. Why do you ask?"
He smiles "follow me. I've got something to show you."
I follow him through the tunnels, after a few turns I realize that I won't be able to find my way back without him. Why was I trusting him?
Finally he came to a stop, he turns to me and places a finger over his lips. He blows out the candle shooting us into darkness. I feel his hand wrap around my arm. He pulls me further into the darkness. I can't see anything except black.
We stop. I hear him struggling with something and then I see light again. It's dim, but it's enough to get my eyes to slowly adjust.

I look around the cave we're in and let out a small gasp. The cavern was filled with hundreds of thousands of spiders. I carefully move to my knees and just stare in awe. I look at my arm as I feel several tiny legs crawling on me. I smile seeing tiny spiders, marching their way up to my shoulder.

"Wow, this is amazing." I say as the spiders go back down again.
"Yeah" he says "now why were you following me?"
"Oh um.... about that I um......" I wracked my brain, trying to think of a good lie.
After a moment of silence, I sigh. I couldn't think of a good lie, so the only option was the truth.
"Back in middle school, " I began "there were these books......"
"They were called the Cirque Du Freak series. It's about this kid Darren who steals Octa from Larten and......" I pause looking at him, if I continue on like this I'd be rambling, "Anyway. In the books you lead a bunch of vampaneze into the mountain. A lot of good vampires died.... you died too. It was a really stupid plan Kurda."
I let out a sigh, "And that's why I followed you down here.... I wanted to make sure you weren't doing something stupid like you did in the books."
"I see...." that's all he said, then he went silent.
I looked up at him, feeling a larger spider cuddle up on top of my head. He took a deep breath before frowning.
"Well..... I guess I'll have to think of another way to bring peace to the tribes."
"You were planning on bringing vampaneze into vampire mountain!"
"Yes, I was. After what you told me though, I realize that wouldn't be the best course of action." He says.
Kurda carefully got the spider off my head and helped me to my feet. He lead me back through the tunnels and out into the main halls of vampire mountain.
"Thank you Angelica. I have a lot to think over now, but I'm glad you told me about this."
He walked away once more, but this time I didn't follow him, I had an orange haired vampire to find.
