We awaken the next night as the sun falls. After a small discussion, we agree it would be better to flit. Larten held me as the world flashed before us. It's not long before we come to a stop.

A short woman with wild hair, a full beard and dressed in ropes is waiting for us outside what I assume is her home. I recognize her instantly as lady Evanna.

"Come in," she leads us into her home.

She invites us to take a seat. It's a very cozy place. I remember in the books mentioned about her extraordinary, huge frogs. I didn't see any around.

"They're all sleeping." she says, as Larten takes a seat by me and Vancha sits across from us on the floor.

  I blink surprised, "what?!"

  "The frogs. They're all asleep."

"Oh….. right I should have known you'd know what I was thinking. You are a wi……" I quickly stop myself, "my apologies Evanna. I was about to say something I shouldn't."

She simply lets out a short laugh, "at least you stopped yourself. Unlike that Darren kid."

I smile shyly, "now," she adds "let's get to the reason you're really here."

She walks away for a moment. When she returns she has two oddly shaped glass containers. One has a swirling blue liquid, the other with a dark green substance. Both are sealed closed with a cork. She placed them on the table.

"Vancha, Larten, while it is good to see you both again I need you two to leave…. I will allow you both in when this is done."

"If it is all the same with you, I wish to stay by Angelica's side." Larten says "I promised to protect her."

"Do you not trust me Larten?" Evanna questions.

  "Of course I do, however…."

She holds up a hand silencing the vampire, "there is nothing here to protect her from. Now step out until I call you back in."

Larten simply nods, and stands. He follows Vancha out of Evanna's home. She chuckles slightly.

"Alright," she says "I heard you pissed off my father."

"I um…. yeah. That's how I got in the situation I'm in now." I touch the base of my stomach.

A cup appeared in her hand. She uncorked the blue liquid and filled up the cup. Next she uncorked the green substance. She had to shake the green one to get it out. It slid out with a similar consistency as syrup. She reseals the bottles, and holds the glass up to the light. The green seeped into the blue. It branched out like veins in the liquid. She hands it to me.

  "Drink that." She says.

I take the cup from her and bring it up to my nose. I sniff the contents, but they give off no odor. I take a sip, and almost spit it out. I force myself to swallow, and let out a vocal gag.

"What is that?" I ask, making a face.

"Drink the whole thing." she orders, pushing the glass back to my lips.

I reluctantly gulp the contents down. I shiver, finishing it off. I stick out my tongue. I check the glass, making sure everything is gone. I handed the glass back to her.

"Don't worry, I'll be right here in case you fall forward." she says.

"Fall? Why would I f…." before I can finish my sentence, my vision goes black.
