36. Lack of Courage

"what are you doin'?" Hye-in popped out of nowhere shocking Jungkook. "h-huh?" he said startled. "It's 3 in the morning? why are you awake?" She asked walking towards him with a grumpy look on her face but when she saw her red eyes her expression changed to a serious look. 

"Kook?" She said holding his shoulder. "what happened?"; "H-Hye" Jungkook broke down as Hye-in pulled him closer to her. She didn't ask him what it is but comforted him first. 

He sniffled and cried, he hugged her closer as if his whole life depends on her. "shh" she caressed his back and kissed his temple. Slowly she carried him to the couch and sat with him. 

"Hye-in, I-I miss h-hyung.." He said. Hye-in eyes softened as she understood he missed Jun-Hyeon. she missed him too. It's been so long and he still hasn't woken up. "me too" said Hye-in resting her head on his shoulder. 

"t-tomorrow is his birthday" He blurted out. "yes, I know... let's pray he gets well soon" She smiled thru her tears and looked at him, who managed to pull out a smile as well. Even though their eyes were welled up with tears their smile still flashed brightly to each other. Hye-in rested her forehead on Jungkook's. 

"He'll be with us soon..... H-how 'bout we go and see him today after school?" Hye-in proposed earning a nod from Jungkook. "so it's final, that all of us together will go and meet Jun-hyeon oppa" she said and pinched his cheek, trying to act subtle. 

"yes!" Jungkook smiled as well and kissed her cheek. The two of them sat their and cuddled up on the couch.

"oh you know I made up with Yeonjun "Hye-in changed the subject. "you did??" He asked shocked. "but that jerk bullied you!" Jungkook said in rage. "yeah,.. but there was a reason behind that!" she added. "ohw.. what is it?" He asked curiously. 

"so there was this girl Jemma who dated Yeonjun but their parents hated each other for some reason, their relationship was a secret... Some bullies caught them snogging around one day and recorded that! later they blackmailed him with that.. he had to bully me,, Jemma even cheated on him! that b*tch!" Hye-in explained cuddled up with Jungkook. "I see so that boy wasn't that bad after all" he concluded. "yep,, he's the best!" She said smiling, feeling overwhelmed by the feeling of reuniting with her best friend again. 

 "so how do you feel about Jimin?" Jungkook asked out of blue. Hye-in's face turned red "w-what do you mean..?" She asked and looked away trying to hide her red face. 

"I know you like him" He said turning her face to look up at him. "n-no.. No, it's nothing like that! you're imagining things" Hye-in laughed nervously. "oh really??" He asked in a goofy way. "yes" She said still not ready to accept the

"you know you can always tell me anything" Jungkook said. "ok fine yes I like him!" she accepted, how hard she was blushing god knows that. The mention of his name only name her so happy. "then why don't you propose him or ask him out?" Jungkook asked her. Hye-in's face fell at that.

"I-I wish I had that much of confidence..." She said fiddling with her fingers. "don't worry..It will be alright, try once.. you won't regret it" He said holding her hand.

"but what if he rejects me and then we won't even be able to remain friend anymore.. what if he doesn't likes me!?" She said with fear. "he likes you Hye" He said looking at her beautiful face. "he does?" She asked him, now feeling a bit of happiness rising in her. 

"yep, so now will you?" He said with a smirk. 

"I'm scared...." her voice trailed off. 

Jungkook sighed and spoke some wise words. 

" To see what's right and yet not do it is lack of courage "
