Capitulo 22

SHE huffed when she saw in her mail that the training was suspended due to the storm that was residing in their country for a week.

"But I just showered and—ugh!" She sat on the bed in annoyance. "I even woke up this early, how irritating!"

Eiassey tossed her phone not so far away from where she stood before changing from her training uniform.

Instead of going back to sleep again, she spent her time doing her reports from her last missions which she set aside due to procrastination.

Thankfully, she doesn't have to shove herself to schoolwork, only being a combatant at SJ was her only problem right now.

Nonetheless, she loves being part of this organization despite having one of her foot in the grave the moment she got exposed to the other side of the world.

Soon later, Eiassey heard the door creaking open, she doesn't have to turn her head just to know who it was.

Minute haven't even last when she felt a pair of lips on her nape, she inched her head to where Fionntan was.

Fionntan was resting his cheek against her back. Dismay was written all over his face.

"It must be sucks waking up this early just to have our training suspended, huh?" I still don't know why would they suspend it since the artisans can manipulate the weather underwater anyway.

Humming, she returned her gaze to her remaining works. "What is it, Fio-babe?"

Fionntan didn't say anything but he kept on poking her back like an annoying brat that he truly was, he's lucky he's cute or else she already punched him.

"Be patient, sweetheart. I'm working so I need to focus to these shits, okay?"

Lips curving into vexation, he rotated her swivel chair so she can finally face him, he flopped himself to her lap.

Fionntan was seeking for her attention desperately when it's just early in the morning and he should be sleeping at this hour.

"Are you trying to be a puppy?" She wrapped her arms around him, lifting him to get him to sit on her lap before turning back to face her desk.

A catastrophic amounts of reports was pouring on her after their last missions ended for the last weeks.

Well, she wasn't the only one experiencing these as every combatant just like her—especially the freshly graduated ones ran into these also.

There was scarcely a bit of chances in this world that she'll be able to finish them despite of already accomplishing the half of it, a day to settle them won't be enough.

Thankfully, she didn't decide to cram them all in the last day of the current month to show her resilience.

That would be a really dumb idea and she might end up not being able to participate the next mission so she started them earlier than usual even if she had tons to pass because of how many times she neglected some reports by not submitting them on time, same goes for the other projects and shits.
