26. Kidnapping

        It was Friday Rutuja was winding up her work for going to the lab. She finished doing the work and was on her way to the lab. The road to the lab was always silent with fewer vehicles in view. A few minutes later she had to stop her car as two cars were parked in the middle of the road blocking her way of going. Rutuja sensed danger around her and typed a message to Ashish to be alert as the things we're looking fishy to her and sent it to him.

She gave the horn to the cars but they didn't budge from place. She had no choice but to get out of her car and talk with them. She had sensed people around her when she got out and walked to the place where the other two cars were parked. She went ahead and tapped on the car's window it was all black and she couldn't see what was inside. All of a sudden she was surrounded by men in all black.

She took a stance to fight them but, someone opened the door and jumped on her out of nowhere with the anesthetic injection. She tried to fight back with that person but, it was too late as he had injected her with the injection. She just fainted on the spot. Her hands and legs were tied before they put her inside the car and drove away. By the time that had happened Ashish had gotten an alert message from Rutuja. But, didn't know what was about to come.

A little later Pradeep was heading to the lab and saw Rutuja's car. He thought about what she was doing by stopping the car on the road instead of going to the lab. He drove forward and stopped near her car and saw Rutuja wasn't in the car. He got out of his car and went to hers and saw that the door to the car was open. Her things and phone were still inside the car. He searched the nearby area but, didn't find any traces of Rutuja.

Pradeep called Mansi and told her about, "How he found Rutuja's car on the way to the lab and couldn't find her nearby. Mansi's face got pale and she asked, "Do you think she got kidnapped?" He said, "By looking at the scene in front of me I guess yes". Mansi said, "Oh God! What should we do now?" Hearing her distressed voice others hurried to the room.

Looking at her pale face Nisha asked, "What happened? Why do you look so pale?" Mansi said, "Pradeep is on the phone and he told me that, Rutuja got kidnapped". All exclaimed, "Oh No! This situation is really bad". All the members were seriously worried about Rutuja. Aniket called Harshada and told her everything that had happened. Harshada didn't say anything and kept the call.

She immediately called Ashish and told him not to get out of the office at the moment. He asked her, "Why? What's wrong?" and on top of that, her voice is cracking. Harshada said, "Rutuja got kidnapped from the road near the lab, next target might be Rishikesh". Ashish whispered, "What? That might be the reason that I got an alert message from her". She asked, "You got an alert message from Rutuja?" He said, "Yes, I got it a while ago".

She asked Ashish to stay at the office till they reach near the office so, they could take Rishikesh back home safely. Rishikesh was beside him and asked him "Why did he tense for a moment?" Ashish said, "Harshada was joking with me". Rishikesh knew his friend was telling a lie he could see it in his eyes.

Harshada immediately called Rishika and told her that Rishikesh will be the next target as well as about the alert message that Ashish got from Rutuja before her kidnapping. She told her, "We need to save him". As well as we need to help him get home safely for that we should be around him. You both meet me near Rishikesh's office I have asked Ashish to await our signal before getting out. Rishika said, "Sure thing we will be there in a few minutes."

Rishika told Aniket about it and they got ready to go. A few minutes later they saw that Pradeep was still on the road as well as Rutuja's empty car. They explained Pradeep in short and went ahead to Rishikesh's office. When they reached there they saw Harshada and signaled her of their arrival. She asked Ashish to come out with Rishikesh. He agreed and they came out and got in the car.
