17. Meeting with Her Team

It was Saturday morning Rishikesh and Rutuja were doing breakfast together. Rutuja was in a really good mood since morning. Rishikesh asked her, "Why are you so happy since morning?" She told him, "She was going to meet her team after lunch and invite them to a dinner party at her house". She told him, "You are going to meet my team today". He asked her, "Why didn't she invite them here?" She said, "They don't know your house".

At noon they were done with lunch. Rutuja went to get ready while Rishikesh decided to watch movies. She got ready and went to the living room. She told Rishikesh she will be back before 6 pm. She made sure that the system was on alert before she went to the lab. She had called her team at the lab early so she knew they would be waiting for her.

 She hurried toward the lab and she was glad that she was going back to her work again. She got inside using her ID and saw the whole team waiting for her. She was so happy to be back at the lab with her team. Mansi and Nisha came running and embraced her when she got in. Nachiket and Hritvik said come on go easy on her she just arrived here. While Pradeep was laughing at our exchange. Rutuja said, "Hey guys it's nice to meet you after all these days". They say, "It's good to see you back".

 All team members congratulate her. She thanked them and tell them, "You all have to come to my house for dinner today at 7:30 pm". Rishikesh will be there too, so you all can meet him. She then talked with them about the ongoing projects. She checked the experiments and projects before going back to the house for dinner preparations. She said bye guys see you at my house in a few hours.

She was on her way back to her house and thought it was good there was no alert alarm ringing while she was out. She got back to the house and saw Rishikesh doing some work on his PC. She said, "Rishikesh get ready we are going to my house". He said, "Ok" and went to his room to get changed. He came back and they got in the car, she drove them to her house. She lived in an apartment. They parked the car and got into the lift as she lived on the 8th floor.

They got out on the 8th floor and she went and opened the door to her flat. She said, welcome to my house sorry if it is a mess I left in a quiet hurry. He said, "It doesn't matter". Rutuja shows him her house telling him it's a 2BHK. She took him to all the rooms but, left one. He asked her "What is that room for?" She said it's my 2nd bedroom it's soundproof and used for my study purpose. She took her hand and opened the scanner the door opened on its own. He could see books and stacks of papers in the room.

She told him that she keeps all her important things in this room. He told her that despite the books and papers all over the room it is decorated beautifully. She said, "Thanks for the compliment I did all the decoration and art myself". He said, "You are multi-talented". At which she just smiled. They got out and the room was locked. She asked him to go and sit in the living room while she got to prepare dinner.

She was done and setting the dining table when she heard the bell. She went and opened the door inviting them inside her house. Take a seat she said to everyone. She introduced Rishikesh saying he is my husband. He said, "It's nice to meet you all". Then introduced her team saying this is Nachiket and his wife Nisha, Hritvik and Mansi, and lastly Pradeep and Priti. Priti is not a Scientist like us she is an Interior Designer. They said, "It's pleasure to meet you too".

She said, "Let's go and eat dinner". All of them got up and went to the dining hall. Nisha, Mansi, and Priti helped Rutuja to serve everyone before they sat down to eat. They enjoyed dinner together while talking about each other. When they were done with dinner boys went to the living room while the girls were cleaning in the kitchen. Boys were talking with Rishikesh and girls gave their husbands a warning look not to give him too much information before going with Rutuja to her room.

Rutuja told them everything that has happened in her life so far. They asked her to tell him about everything as soon as possible. As he needed to know what they will be facing ahead in their life. While the girls were talking with Rutuja boys told Rishikesh to look after Rutuja as she can be reckless sometimes. He said, "Yes I will look after her". When the girls finished talking they came out to the living room boys were still talking with Rishikesh on general matters.

Nisha said, "We should get going now as it's getting late". They all got up and Rutuja and Rishikesh waved them goodbye as they left. Rutuja closed the door and they both sat down. She asked him, "What do you think about my team?" He said, "They all are nice persons, it must be good working with them". She said, "Yes I enjoy working with them they treat me like a little sister and always look after me as I am the youngest member of the team.

After they were done talking Rutuja packed a few office clothes from her closet and they went back to the house. They both got changed and ready their beds for sleeping. Rishikesh fell asleep thinking about the conversation with her teammates. Rutuja was awake and reading a book while keeping an eye on the surroundings.
