The longest chapter of this book which practically circles around the whole plot. Enjoy! :)
"I could have done better" he murmured to himself, sitting back on the backseat of the cab he took from Daegu half an hour ago.
Today is the day, Yunhee's birthday for which he had a lot of plans for. But fortune didn't work at its best when his team members couldn't finish the in hand project and he found no other way to attend his workplace, letting go of the plans he had made.
Now, at this moment, sitting in the backseat of this cab, he desperately wished to fly to Yunhee at any cost and spend the rest of the day with her although half of the day was already over.
It's almost time for Yunhee's school to be over which is why Jun decided to set the destination just a few metres away from her school premises.
Not only her school. It was his school too.
He looked at the gate and the concrete pathway having green grass on both sides, leading to the main premises. The main building was not completely visible from this position but he felt a strange wind of nostalgia wrapping his body up in this early spring.
So many memories. So much happiness.
Unknowingly he harboured a smile on face and adoringly, he kept on looking at the place where he first stepped his feet in when he was 12 or 13. His decision to come to Seoul at first was against the will of his parents but as time passed by, they supported him in everything he did.
His dream of becoming an idol never quite came true as the training was so tenacious that he couldn't make through it. But instead, he started creating vlogs at a very young age as a stressbuster, as a nourishment of his mental health, as a remedy to the friendless situation.
That's when he found Minghao, another trainee in a dance studio who came to Seoul to learn more from various eminent artists. And for Minghao only, if not anything else, he will be forever thankful to this that gifted him such a lovely friend.
This school gave him his first crush too, The hopelessly romantic crush that hurt him more than anything else due to his inability to confess or speak up. And look at him today, standing in front of that very same school, waiting for that very same crush, difference being that today she was more than a crush.
Will it be a right thing to do to restrain his heart any more?
Suddenly a strong wind blew. The crowd of students coming out of the school after the final bell rang, started to become fady as his eyes got fixated on one single person, dressed neat and clean as they used to be, hair braided as they used to be. What looked different was the smile on her face.
Wait a second. There were so many other girls who were looking back at her from time to time and chatting with her. She was replying to them with that same smile. Has she made friends in school? She used to be so lonely.
Jun smiled amusedly and waited at that exact location for Yunhee to notice him. Oh, isn't this the same blossom tree under which he stood back then too, to see Yunhee from afar?
Yunhee bade goodbye to some of her friends and looked at the road in hope to cross it. The bus stand she was going to approach was on the opposite side of the main road.
And then, she saw him. A long black coat almost touching the back of his knees with a thin muffler around his neck - he looked as perfect as he always did. Her mouth gaped apart from the realisation that she wasn't dreaming. Junhui was actually standing across the road, most probably waiting for her.
Oh my god, she waited the whole day to get on the bus and call him. She had decided to talk until her stop would come. But here, she doesn't need that phone now. Junhui is in front of her.
