Hey guys. Because I'm doing a flashback to Forever Red, I'll be switching from the main points of view of certain characters (The italics are to point out their thoughts in that moment. They will be in first person. Sorry.) to the general point of view that I normally write in. Sorry if it gets confusing. I wanted to include how Tommy, Jason, Zoey and Jenna really felt; not just about the mission, but about the Rangers involved. Especially Cole. Lol.
Chapter 5: Forever Red: Part 1
Previously...
"Alright." Tommy nodded, looking around the table, "Not everyone knows the full story anyways. Let's tell you the story of how Jason, Zoey, Jenna and I first met Cole."

Tommy leaned back in his chair, "To understand the story, you need to understand the players first. How much do you know about the past Red Rangers?" He looked at the teens as they shrugged.
"Not too much. Just the tidbits we got from the girls." Shane scratched his, trying to remember, "There were ten Red Rangers before us, right?"
"Um, technically, no." Jason holding his hand up to forestall any complaints from Rocky, "As you know, I was the first Red Ranger. When we left for the Peace Conference, Rocky took over. Some people consider the Ninjetti Rangers as a separate team from the Mighty Morphin Team."
"We kept getting asked why we never fought together." Kim smiled, "We decided not tell them that we were the same team. We just had different power sources."
"Right," Billy nodded, "then we lost our powers and were helped by the Alien Rangers from the planet Aquitar. Their White Ranger, Delphine, was their leader. But their Red Ranger, Aurico, took charge on the battle field."
"We received a new set of powers and Tommy became the Red Zeo Ranger." Kat got up to check on the baby, "We still have those powers, but we don't access them anymore. They're kept locked up in the Power Chamber."
"Personally think you should change that." Zoey shook her head, "Especially if there's ever another invasion and you're needed to help. It would be best to have it on hand."
Tommy nodded, "That's been discussed and tabled. For now. But we stopped carrying them we got the keys."
"We needed a new power source to enter the Nemesis Triangle in order to get to Muranthias and rescue Jason, Kim, Lerigot and his family." Tanya said, walking back over from checking on the kids on the mats, "Our Zeo crystals wouldn't have protected us trying to go through, so we got an upgrade in the form of the Turbo Keys."
"Which activated our new morphers," Adam handed her a drink and grabbed a protein bar, "and Tommy became the first Red Turbo Ranger."
"The summer after they graduated, they were tasked with finding a replacement team so they could go to college." Justin stretched as leaned back in his chair, "Tommy chose T.J., who saved his life, to replace him and he became the second Red Turbo Ranger."
